 Ambrose  389 wickets  21.11 avge SR 55.0

Ambrose is the definition of strike bowler. When you need him he more often than not delivers almost instantly. After SA returned they played against West indies in 1992. A much publicized event due to their history.  SA batted well in the first innings.  Chasing a meagre total of 201  af the end of t he day 4 SA was 122/2. They needed 79 runs on day 5 with 8 wickets in hand. On day 5 it was massacre.   Took out the 8 wickets for just 26 runs !!

Bumrah-Shami-Ishant all 3 worked together. IT was more of a trio rather than duo

Bunrah ishant was even more deadly.

Bumrah-Shami-Ishant was only three years (2018-2020). Since then Siraj came.

Bumrah- Shami is 5 years+ now.

600 wickets for Stuart Broad. He should also leave when he is relatively more useful to his side compared to Anderson

no, let them both stay for another 2-3 more years. it will make it easier to win against them because they will take up 2 valuable slots

Two statistical titans.

But consider this.

Last time AUS had bowlers with impossible stats like them - McWarne - they dominated Tests. Did ENG dominate tests? That should tell a lot about their *actual* quality.

McWarne didn't have crawley moeen ali ollie pope in their team

During the 3-4 yr window when England had world class batting line-up, they did dominate tests

not all that much. their overseas victories were not by big margins, unlike Aus and WI at their peaks
