That’s probably what they teach in Pakistan but there are plenty from the south with fair skin and plenty of dark skinned Punjabis.  I will give you benefit of doubt, you haven’t seen fair skinned South Indians but it can’t be you haven’t come across a dark skinned Punjabi unless you live in a bubble.

 

also if you are comparing Harmanpreet with Punjabi models and actors, she is an athlete that plays the whole day in the sun.
