I was disappointed with the way Rohit handled him. He treated him as a third spinner to use only if the first two spinners were not getting wickets. On the pitches that assisted spin, he let Jadeja and Ashwin hog the bowling. Axar did well in the past in that England series when he was brought in early. He seemed to use the new ball to good effect with his sliding straight balls. He can be fairly effective in India if captain gives him the right amount of confidence. The batting is a good bonus.

Spot on, Rohit captaincy has no flair, you can see all his moves as captain before they happen.Axar needs a better captain who can understand his strengths. He was very good with new ball against England but rarely got a chance.

Almost criminal to compare the turner specialists (the post 1990 spinners) with spin specialists legends like Chandra and Parsanna.

Stats get nothing to comparison.

If No-hit operate Axar bhai properly he might broke Charli turner Record of fastest 50 wkts in lesser number of test, vs eng he took Lumsum wkts.

Karun Nair's 300 run is a history now, he still not belives how he got there? But record is record. We not compare Karun with Lara, viru, Inzy & Azhar Ali or Yunis khan.

I changed Title from Chandrashekhar to B. S. Chandrashekhar koz many personality have the same name including our former Prime Minister & Former Ranji trophy player. I should post as "Bhagvat Chandra" as Gavaskar mention him in "Sunny days" his own biography

You come to these forums under various names (Good enough, etc., now using a female name of Nidhi), start tons of threads, and eventually have to go and come back under a different moniker. Why keep doing it?

Sliders aren't your (key) wicket taking deliveries, for most spinners it will always be the one that turns even if occasionally! Outside Asia he will have to flight the ball more & be lot more deceptive with the speeds he bowls at, what'll he do there?

He might not be that effective outside Asia, but at home, he can definitely be a key player as he allows us to play an extra bowler due to his batting having improved so much.

In the past Not our spinner ( Bedi/Prasaana & Venky)Successful in every matches. Most Occassion Tight Spell from Bedi Gave wkts to Prassana & Chandra because somehow they need to make runs,Axar is doing the same his tight Spell 20 overs 18 runs etc Gave wkts to other bowlers.

Axar scored 264 in 3 test in this series.

10 out of 9 times in 3 match series A "specialist" batsman Generally, if successful, scored 400 or so, here Axar scored 3 half century but he was not awarded.

India never gave POTS award 2 Player in the past since 1948.

Atleast Axar should award by BCCI as trophy, in IPL WE GAVE THEM PLENTY OF AWARD WORTH 5 Lakh per game why not in test series?

For example Award for best catch etc.
