zen
Sir Don Pandya's post-match comments are likely to provide insights on how Team India could shape up in the near future: GT v CSK: He remarked that Rituraj will get his chances and when he gets them, he will get a proper run. GT v DC: Sai Sudarshan, if he continues to improve, will not only be a good player in IPL but also for Team India in a couple of years. It is good to see that he is keeping an eye on talented players. He also tends to prefer a team with a strong bowling attack if that is an option. zen
One of my posts from a different thread on how the T20 team could be shaping up: Gill Rituraj (expected to get a run) Samson (wk, who can also bat at #6 too to accommodate a batsman at #3) SKY Sir Don Pandya (c) X X X Umran Bumrah Siraj (additional pace options include Moshin if fit) For #6-8, Ind has quite a few competitive options including Tewatia, who is among the best and most experienced finishers in the game Axar (in a purple patch with the bat) Tripathi, a 360-degree player who was tried at #3 in the absence of Samson Hooda - tends to bat in the top 3-4 but was tried out in the lower middle order. A good option esp. if he can bowl too Tilak, if he has sorted out his short ball problems Parag, if he improves his consistency and can bowl Sundar - though needs to improve his overall game including fielding Other options - Abhinav Manohar, Samad, etc. tweaker and deepdynamo

zen
Though Sir Don missed the game v KKR (where his bowling, and maybe inspirational captaincy, was missed), he led the way to console Yash Dayal, who found it difficult to hold the wet ball - Cricinfo One day after Gujarat Titans' Yash Dayal conceded five sixes in the final over to Kolkata Knight Riders' Rinku Singh, the fast bowler's father has revealed that he was consoled in the dressing room by his team-mates, led by the captain Hardik Pandya. Dayal spoke to his father late on Sunday night after the bowler conceded the highest number of runs (31) in the final over of a chase to lose an IPL game. He said that he he struggled to grip the ball due to wet conditions. "It was a nightmare yesterday," Chandrapal Dayal told PTI on Monday. "They made him [Yash] sit in the centre [in the dressing room] and consoled him. Later, there was naach-gaana [dance, music] and they spent some light moments with him.
