This Whole Bairstow incident was such a non event during eventful 2nd test. English fans and media are clutching at straws, nothing else. It isn't as if Fatty Bairstow would have won them the test, he smashed 2 boundaries and English fans were cheering as if he is gonna chase 370 single handedly. The bigger problem is the hype created by "Bazball". Bazball frenzy had created the enviornment where only England was the winner and other team was going to come there for getting defeated only and it was not wrong either, they had smashed India, Pakistan and NZ last year but little did they know is that they were facing arch rivals Australia who is notch above all the teams above.  The hype was as such that they would smear away Aussies 5- nil like they had been getting smashed since 2006-07 Ashes in Australia (barring 2010-11) by Australia. Ashes in England has always been competitive unlike it is in Australia where England just don't show up and gets banged badly with 2-3 players getting retired or getting scared mentally to retire ultimately. It is their dream to smash Australia like it at Home and Somehow Bazball made it seem that this dream is somehow achievable but now all the hopes are crushed thanks to some brilliant performance by Australia and thier own stupidity which they aren't acknowledging on the name of saving test cricket (Stupid declaration and rash shots). England have come to realise is that Bazball or traditional way of cricket, they can't defeat Australia and now all the hopes of defeating them is postponed for four more years as they know they can't defeat them in Australia.

England win toss & choose to bowl. Wow australia has lost all 4 tosses now in row. Looking at pitch and conditions & england's attack i assume it will move quite alot and might restrict Australia on low score.

Boland, Murphy, Mitchell Marsh replaces Hazelwood, Lyon, Cameron Green.

Stupid decision by Australia to play Todd Murphy. Conditions are going to remain wet and overcast for most of this game , so they should have gone ahead with Neser who did brilliantly in county cricket recently. Also he is a capable bat and would have added some more depth.

Going with Mitchell Marsh as the 4th seamer is very risky as he's made of glass and usually breaks down in the 2nd over. With Head and Labu already there, it makes no sense to play Murphy especially in these conditions.

Murphy can extract bounce too. On last day he can be useful

4 pacers + Green is overkill

This wicket has more grass than the outfield. So it would not break up even a bit by the fifth day as conditions will be overcast throughout.

You might as well pick a block of wood and it'd be more useful than picking a spinner in these conditions. Just wasting a spot in the 11...

Wood getting movement and bowling around 150kph. Interesting to watch him.

146KPH , 149KPH, 152KPH, 151KPH, 150KPH

Wood bowling rockets. 155 Kph!! What a pace. Can he bowl 14-15 overs in a day? If so great asset to have.

You can not predict that, especially weather. Oval 2021 it was green but got flatter assisted spin on last day.

Though they should have retained Green if not injured.

England also made a mistake dropping Andu on this pitch. Robinson is useless

I would have played tongue here instead of robinson.

Tongue was the only bright spot in Eng bowling in last match. How can they drop him

They want all bowlers to bat. Broad might most likely play at #11 here.
