Sgattick10 Posted July 9, 2023 Posted July 9, 2023 Aus and Eng always change the ball when they need a wicket. India needs to do that in SENA

Pant - guess kishan for now or upendra Sundar - maybe axar Jaiswal should be in automatically Shaw too but because he is overweight he is not getting chances.
Lone Wolf Posted July 9, 2023 Posted July 9, 2023 I think India would lose badly on this pitch... It is just totally anti to our style of play. A poor England side smashed us in 2021 here. Pitch has fizz & nice carry here. Our chomus will typically go out nicking here while bowlers won't find ideal length like they did in 2021. Even Australia's hit the deck guys seems struggling here a bit.
wazza Posted July 9, 2023 Posted July 9, 2023 What is the point of todd Murphy? Again he only looked good vs india lol against old players. Lyon won't be replaced for a long time.
vvvslaxman Posted July 9, 2023 Posted July 9, 2023 England has batting depth. 20 here 20 there would get them home.

We pick the correct bowlers we can run through them.we will lose due to selection not cause of lack of quality. First pick the right players then results will come.
putrevus Posted July 9, 2023 Posted July 9, 2023 Very good pitch, bowlers getting wickets if they bowl well and batsmen are able to play their shots and get value for their shots. Aussies will rue the fact Smith and Labu threw their wickets away.
wazza Posted July 9, 2023 Posted July 9, 2023 So when we play England and sA. Moral of the story is change balls as soon as you realise you can't get a wicket. Ok?

He ran through the tail in a jiffy which played big part.

It is hard for Bumrah to do the middle over enforcing, opening spell and finishing too. Bumrah shouldn't bowl that many overs in t he first place.
Majestic Posted July 9, 2023 Posted July 9, 2023 Starc is underrated. For a genuine pacer, playing all three formats and participating in over 80 tests is not a joke. 320 test wickets at avg of 27 taking 4 WPM is an excellent test record. wazza and Lord 2

Almost half the matches were against India and England. 38 tests to be precise. 4 wickets per match almost against all sides. Against India less than 3 wickets per test.

BTW given bumrah a d pants injury in a world 11 right now, no Indians would make it in my honest opinion. Bumrah pant walk in otherwise. Karunaratne SL Azam (I don't rate him but...) PAK Root EnG Smith Aus Stokes eng Carey aus Green aus or ash Ash IND Maybe ash at 8 india but if it's a sena pitch I put jansen Cummins Aus Nortje SA Wood eng or jansen 4 aus 3 poms 1 pak 1 Lanka's Maybe 1 indian 1 SA or maybe 2 if sena pitch So given no bumrah and Pant. Only ash manages to maybe squeak in or jadeja.
vvvslaxman Posted July 9, 2023 Posted July 9, 2023 What a rubbish ball from Starc. Juicy half volley on the off
