As no one wanted to host the 2026 edition and Victoria volunteered, does this mean if still NO country wants to host this is the end of the competition? this was one last hope for our athletes to win medals- they dont have the same chance in the Olympics. Considering the 2010 infrastructure is in tatters, even India wont be able to step to host it if required without spending Billions of $
Lone Wolf
Time for India to take a exit from Commonwealth... It's long overdue. We anyways need to shed our colonial past. Paxtanis will also do the same if we start the proceedings.

coffee_rules
Should be dismantled, enough of this colonial relic. India should not have participated after they looted 45 trillion from India

India represents modern Indian landmass which is bigger than the Bharat. Only Aryavarta in the ancient times was a bigger landmass than India. ravishingravi

It is not called Commonwealth Test Cricket , with no shame of colonialism associated with the countries. Commonwealth

Aryavarta is more recent coming from Manu smriti is almost as much as the Bharata. I wish to know your source (hope it's not a Marxist Historian). I don't think @ravishingravi was not pointing to the landmass, but the concept of Bharat which is a decolonized India, which is more proud of its civilizational roots, and being aware of the pluralistic society it represents for all times. Lol no... Vishnu Purana explicitly states that Bharata comprises of north of the Oceans & South of the snowy mountains (Himalayas) It takes out modern day Gilgit Baltistan & Aksai Chin of Xinjiang from modern day India & Karakoram Pass.. It's extent was 9000 leagues overall. The ones you are saying are called neighboring regions. They obviously had the knowledge of those regions. There is a story in Mahabharat that Bhim brought something from China during Yudhishthir's coronation. Yavanas or Mlecchas were in the West. It is believed Gandhara Raj Shakuni resembled those people. Sri lanka was also not part of Bharata according to Vishnu Purana... Also it mentions about the Kingdoms... The easternmost boundary is called Kamarupa which is north East part of Assam. Beyond that is land of Barbarians. Western most is debatable & not clear with links with Persians always present. In no universe Tibetan region was ever under Indian landmass. Only King historically to have ever marched there is Kashmiri king Lalitaditya who had a expedition in Xinjiang... Vishnu Puran is pretty self explanatory... The fact is Under British Raj India actually reached its farthest ever boundaries... Even took care of Burma lol... So India technically has a claim on Burma than say Tibet or Kailash. Vijy
