Imagine having successfully cultivated the narrative about this political figure in India and outside to the extent that he is pariah and declared untouchable in USA. Then fate plays it's hand and the challenger who should have been finished politically rises to highest office with full majority. Where would you go ? The riots itself can be analyzed in many ways, but for me, its the preparedness of an entire community to take violent action that strikes again. They had properties, equipment, stones, people, and ultimately numbers and speed in their control. That's huge street power. Deterrence is still the best solution for all communities. However, that requires tuning between state, center governments, police, and courts. Obviously, that's been a failure where there is plenty of internal sabotage. The other option is take the surrender of power, where Hindus be timid, and cowards. Bringing back communal violence bill and making sure Hindus are default culprits, as that will make sure Hindus remain quiet.
