Vijy Posted August 20, 2023 Posted August 20, 2023 (edited) thinking about ODI WC now, this is how I would do overs 40-50: boomer: 3 to 4 overs kuldeep (yadav): 1 or 2 overs --> some risk of tonking, but hopefully he will be bowling to some lower order bats, who might get into some tangle with him pandu/lord thakur: 2 to 3 overs [sad to say, but both are better than prasidh] siraj: 3 overs (has improved quite a bit) Edited August 20, 2023 by Vijy

Maybe can do the job in T20s

Otherwise bowlers will be under pressure to delivery in every single match. IN T20 that is not how it goes. Even ace bowlers can travel on a given day. It also affects the tempo of top order. tapandrun 1

vvvslaxman Posted August 20, 2023 Author Posted August 20, 2023 India is always behind some sides because Indian death bowling is tested only in IPL. They don't get opportunity to hone their skills by taking part in other leagues. BacktoCricaddict 1

BCCI has allowed them. All hail the BCCI! vvvslaxman 1

Kuldeep, Jadeja, Axar and Ashwin/Chahal will be 4 spinners Shami, Siraj, Bumrah and Shardul will be 4 pacers Gill, Virat, Rohit, Kishan, SKY, Pandya are lock in 6 batters. It's a question of one more batter..I think one of KL/Shreyas will get included. KL more so because he can keep, bat in MO and is the choosen one of Dravid. putrevus 1

His role is in the middle overs. Neither is Shami at this point. Bumrah/Siraj/Pandya/spinner. Has to be from among these depending on who's playing and who's not. Spin actually has done better than expected at the death. Take out those three seamers and pretty much every other spinner is better than seam options at the death.

Raise to power 100. You get Deepak Chahar's. Poor guy.

Why would he bother? On that score i appreciate Thakur who is consistently available much like Shami. Chahar will show all his six pack in instagram. But slightly over weight Thakur plyas whenever he is called upon in any format.
