I dont know how much in matters but India has put-up a good show. As usually we have gone over-board. My wife feels it wasn't required, I fully endorse going over the top, just gives a glimpse of what we can do.  Whats your view ?

We went overboard. But it's fine. It's a country trying to find it's feet in the new league and also it's voice. In next 10 years, you will see the maturity and assurance coming.

Couldn't have been bigger success.

Inclusion of African Union

Clear competition to BRI with India Middle East Europe connectivity

Global Alliance on bio fuels

Consensus on final declaration.

India is a global pillar now. No getting around this.

Mixed feelings about this going thru Saudi and Saudi being the centre of any commerce in this. Not a big fan of the of the ME. Very undependable.

We don’t have very many friends, SA is not an enemy like it was in the 90s, they have mellowed on Kashmir, stopped feeding Pakistan (Pakistan borrowed from China to repay SA loan), MBS is a different beast and it’s good to take sides against Qatar-Iran-Shia nexus. SA, UAE have made peace with Israel and it’s good to join forces here.

Sounds like some kind of silly immature TV serial ego battle.

Is this how politicians play the game?

Unfortunately tradeau has encouraged khalistanis because of the support he has in parliament from a particular Sikh pm. He is going to loose elections this time which is good for Indian govt. Indian consulates were under attack in Canada and Indian govt officials got threat letters he brushed it under freedom of expression.

90% of SA export is petroleum products. MBS is smart enough to know they need to change and change quickly. Saudi had to invest in some place and India is the right destination.

Well, then, dress him down in private and stop trade with his country, do something substantive to hurt his position. Just the public insults seem a bit childish.

That said, he also knows exactly why he is being sidelined. If it bothers him so much, he can try to come up with specific solutions, or even refuse to make the trip. Instead he seems to be acting like Javed Miandad imitating Kiran More. Petulance.

MBS is a non-issue. They also want it to succeed as oil runs out.

He is down in polls domestically. His new opponent  conservative Pierre Poilievre has over 15  points lead over the woke chewt. He would have lost earlier but is getting support from left wing NDP and Khalistani Hagmeet Singh, will hopefully be rendered irrelevant in Kaneda soon. I wish India call this Khalistani support of Kaneda out more openly. But Trudeau hides behind his NATO boss and makes Kaneda act as the 51st of USA , gets away with murder.

The Indian foreign office has engaged the Canadian counterparts multiple times. They still didn’t do anything. Imagine a country doing a parade portraying  a foreign PM assassination and saying it is freedom of expression.
