I'm not exactly sure that cricket dying in a big cricketing nation with a lot of history in the sport is a good thing. As many of the England and Australian pundits were saying over the weekend, cricket needs Pakistan. In fact cricket needs Pakistan more than Pakistan needs cricket. If Pakistani kids stop playing cricket, they'll turn to other sports, kids are kids afterall. So cricket's loss might be football or hockey's gain. Cricket might be a big sport in terms of numbers, but that's mainly because of India. Take away that 1 billion from India and what's left? Maybe 6 countries who take it seriously and most of them don't treat it as the primary sport in their country. Contrary to the view of many Indian fans. We need the sport to grow and not to be dying in places. Also if India don't want to play in a bilateral series with Pakistan, that's completely their choice. I don't think Pakistan or Pakistan fans should worry too much about it, if they can continue to produce results like the last fortnight and bring out young players as they've done, plenty of other nations will want to play them. I think it would be fair to say, Pakistan have traditionally and still do, continue to play a brand of cricket that might be frustrating but is very watchable. Can't say I enjoy those flat track 300+ scores that India churns out are as interesting to watch.

Honestly, cricket is better as dead so Pakistan can concentrate on soccer where there is huge talents in Balochistan, KPK but the investments are needed, and it is better if the money are spent better on the infrastructures for soccer than cricket which is waste of time. Even then, the main target for cricket is specifically designed for demographic of Indians so it makes no sense for the rest of non-Indian cricketing nations to follow cricket closely. What the F? If I was a PCB in-charge, I will lick foot of Pakistani army to provide protection, Pakistani PM to give some political leeway to India and wont stop making phone calls to BCCI/ICC heads till they give an appointment and make Pakistani stadiums alive.

Unlike CT, WC is a serious tournament. Pakistan will never make it to semis. Why are Indian authorities arresting people if the game wasnt important to Indians? League matches dont equal global finals. There is 1 possibly bigger game in ODI cricket and that is the reality. Imagine if India had won, you guys would be ripping Pakistani fans a new one, so you have to suck it up in reverse. You guys were arrogant (as you are when you play us) and the Pakistan victory has caused a psychosis here. Adi_91 1
