Due to the covid pandemic, the qualification process got delayed.  Hence WC has been postponed by ICC to Oct-Nov. Instead of Mar-April.  Decision was taken in 2020.  Anyone criticizing bcci unnecessarily should be aware of this.

Lankans are 0-6 against poyzz in 50 over WCs, strange stat. Would have pummeled them in 1996 Eden had they met, in that period Lankans used to own poyzz in both ODIs and tests.

Jinx will be broken...  They are without Hasranga but Kumara Chameera are back.  Both capable of bowling 90mph. 

They should beat Pak on paper based on pure talent. 

Even Kusal Mendis is looking dangerous. 

Hasranga is a massive miss otherwise they might have had a shot in Semis too.

Too many guys in that squad who are not that good .    Karuna, Hemantha, Rajitha and even Theeksana is a little overrated .

 

They don't need 3rd spinner when they already have DDS.

 

If all were fit and available for various reasons, the better replacements would probably be Binura, Chameera, Hasaranga and Gunathilaka.

Yep. They never met each other in 96, 2003, 2007 and 2015. Only once in 2011 when Lanka lost a close game. Rest were all pre 96.

Just saw Chameera  is still out...  Nah on Binura..  Neither has pace to HTD nor much inswing.  Simple Tall lanky bowler.  He ain't no Prasidh or Hazelwood or Starc. 

Kumara is borderline express & Madushanka can swing it at high pace as a left armer. 

Theekshana is okay on these pitches like Hyderabad.  Might only struggle in Kolkata or Wankhede Motera. 

 

Haven't seen much of Hemantha...  But if he can bowl both googly & leg spin,  he won't be that bad.

Looks like NZ are just trying to set themselves a big total to chase under lights and at the same time not working their fast bowlers too much. Infact Boult, Lockie and Southee haven't even bowled lol.

Rachin might be another Jadeja in LOIs for Kiwis...  I think they better try him in Tests than ODI/T20. Kid is bits & pieces in this format.

thats not right.it rains a lot it in India in october.a lot of our agriculture depend on it.

Actually it's just building the workloads of part timers Neesham, Mitchell , Philips, Ravindra.   Santner coming back from injury. Sodhi with his reworked run up etc.

That's poor...  Henry was getting phainty in England.  He has no use on Indian pitches.
