zen Posted November 20, 2024 Posted November 20, 2024 It is time that the US gets pulled into this as well. The US tends to act with impunity, at times even bullying the UN, throwing tantrums, etc. Everything has a limit (nothing is permanent) and I hope that limit has approached for the US as well! Once again the David (this time Palestine) v Goliath (this time Israel-US) battle is playing out in the ME. Of course, in the ancient fable, Goliath was a Philistine and David was a Jew. Now the roles have reversed.

Albeit an unfair one so it needs to be put in its place too. Right now it is busy with other matters but sooner or later, it is likely to focus its attention on the subcon as well (Kashmir, Northeast, BD, …). I won’t be surprised if Modiji would be fighting a multitude of cases (both in India and internationally) once he (and BJP) is out of power Extremism has a price to pay.

Nothing like that will happen in next 20 years. And I meant that to all each of your statements individually. Last statement is in present tense. Extremist are paying price. The rising population (esp. in terms of numbers), which creates its own viscous cycle, in the region is likely to create internal unrest as well. Extremism looks for a reason to unleash itself. We just saw a situation in BD where extremism vented out its anger on minorities. In the ME, Israel-US alliance has killed over 40,000+ people (may be around 45,000 by now) in Palestine. India is too huge both in terms of area and population for any milutancy to affect the government /regime changes. K-thugs are into major crime with Mexican cartels

France still has a lot of heft, influence and strategic Interests in Lebnon. When Israelis hit Hezbollah, they are directly reducing/limiting French Interest/heft. mishra Posted November 26, 2024 Posted November 26, 2024 Quote UN advisor fired after determining no genocide in Gaza Alice Wairimu Nderitu, the Kenyan who is the Special Advisor on the Prevention of Genocide, will not have her contract renewed after declaring that the war against Hamas does not meet the qualifications for genocide. Israel National News Nov 26, 2024, 10:42 AM (GMT+2) UNGenocide United Nations headquartersiStock The Wall Street Journal reports that Alice Wairimu Nderitu, the Kenyan who is the Special Advisor on the Prevention of Genocide, will not have her contract renewed after declaring that the war against Hamas does not meet the qualifications for genocide. The final say in her dismissal lies with Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, as he has the authority to renew or discontinue the contracts of UN employees. The UN has denied the report, saying that she is leaving only due to her contract expiring and specifically rejecting any connection to her determinations regarding genocide. A UN statement noted that “genocide is strictly defined in international law and any legal determination is made by appropriate judicial bodies.” coffee_rules 1

India was among the 157 nations that voted in favour, while eight Member States - Argentina, Hungary, Israel, Micronesia, Nauru, Palau, Papua New Guinea and the United States voted against it. India did the correct thing by voting against Israel. If I were the PM, I would mobilize forces in the region (make them stationed at Jordon or something), and ant home, on the BD border (while continuing to work through the diplomatic channels and helping the Hindus in BD). I don’t accept nonsense where innocent people are mass murdered.
