It is a very valid point. The organisation has been pathetic. It seems like extension of IPL.

Dude the IPL is better than ICC events in terms of atmosphere/feel. Not kidding.

 

They are much better attended. The crowd cheers for every boundary/wicket. The atmosphere is festive and not jingoistic or tensed. Production quality is also arguably better.

 

If you show both IPL and WC to a complete cricket stranger, chances are he/she will prefer the IPL.

Yes IPL is truly taking over International cricket interms of attendance and engagement, interest etc

No need to mock IPL fans now for some,maybe it is the way to go or where It is already heading

Yeah and it shouldn't be. IPL has crowds because of Indian players. Indian games this WC has been well attended too.

 

Organisation wise the WC should be much better than it has been. All these gimmicks suit T20 games.

Exactly, not to mention you cant compare the IPL to an ODI WC, its completely different format and also attracts a different kind of follower as well.
