ODI cricket is extremely popular in SA.  

 

It's one of the reasons that this "ODI cricket is dead" argument is such tripe. 

 

It may be dead in England and pushed to the margins in Australia.

 

But in subcontinent , SA and elsewhere it is still very popular. 

 

The World Cup viewership numbers should have put any doubts to rest.
