We can't survuve with cutesy 30s in that position at #3. He's gotta do more. KL as a WK brough such a good balance to the Test team. It is bad if S Bharath the batsman is equivalent to a dancer with two left feet.

Yep. That has been the case of both the Rahuls.   Our Asia Cup win ensured that the other "Rahul" stays as coach irrespective of the WC outcome.  These days our bar is Asia Cup...and it will remain that low for long.

2 centuries is more than enough, especially on Indian pitches

yeah i am not impressed with Bharat at all but he has scored a 50 and 100 against the Lions,Jurel might have to wait till test 2.

I hate disappoint you, but I get the feeling we may have seen the best of Pant, which upsets me a lot, as he was my favorite.

 

The way he destroyed Australia in Australia and won us Test matches and a series win at the GABBA, is something that even the great SRT was not able to achieve.

 

Im still so angry and livid by his car accident which was totally his fault and it was reckless on his part.

I pray Im wrong, I hope I get to eat humble pie and my posts come back to bite me.

 

However, having seen the impact of serious injuries in a variety of sports, the chances of Pant resuming his career and surpassing or even equally his former ability are a long shot at best.

 

I think he may have the good innings here and there, but I think his days of dominating like he did before in Tests are gone. Again I hope I am wrong, but I said this from the very start when he had this accident.

 

Some morons on here thought he would be ok in a few months time, some said the 2023 WC. Like I said, I would be very surprised if he comes close to replicating any semblance of his form prior to the accident.
