How good is Vyshak Vijaykumar?

Karnataka bowler has been consistent in Ranji, maybe not quick but sounds like gets good bounce like his state mate Kaverappa. He should be in A team I thought. 

 

The Karnataka pace attack is very good. Like the 1990s days of Srinath, Prasad, Johnson, Ganesh

He is a solid state level bowler. Gets good bounce as you said.

 

But IMO his bowling is a tad below international level.

among trundlers, if we need to play one, best choice would be atith seth. decent swing and control, pace in the mid 130s, can bat well, and fields decently.

indeed. his bowling & batting has slipped up a bit this season, but has otherwise been very consistent for multiple seasons

one positive about vyshak is that he has really worked on improving his batting

Only positive for RCB bowlers yesterday,  sounds like he used the pitch well with variations. Unlike others. Felt he was overlooked unfairly for A squad (better than Deshpande surely?) Anyway nice to see him get recognition hope he has a great tournament

Not a very high ceiling .   But to be fair to him, he has worked hard and seems to make the best of his ability.

Who are the express pacemen setting the scene alight? The likes of Mayank, Tyagi, Umran, Sen are barely playing for their domestic teams and when they are they're not exactly on fire.

that's hardly their fault.

 

moreover, taking trundlers overseas almost always backfires: best example is vinny "legend" kumar, who was terrible in Aus (Perth, I think).

I do think This guy should have been in the limited overs A team. Has good variations and yorker. Not sure if he is injured ATM.

Gauti is looking for fast bowlers who can bat. Even with average bowling skills.. FOr example Arshad Khan who played for MI could bat well.

Arshad is good option in t20s, LAF who can bat (hit 4/6) at #8/9 and good out field fielder. There are not many LAF options aviable for t20is.

 

Think Arshdeep will not play alot all the t20i all the time and they may want to bring some more option, khalel keep coming back with no improvements, Naman tiwari looked quick in upt20
