Dube is firing on all cylinders in Ranji... Even Shankar is doing decently.

If BCCI has any brains they would pick either of those two as a Fast Bowling A/R for Perth Test.

No brains bhai. We won't watch

We will need backup pacers in Aus for sure.

Bumrah/Shami/Siraj are fine as first choice attack.

But I refuse to believe that Mukesh is the 4th best fast bowler in India.

Also, please NO Prasidh ( mental midget), Avesh ( harmless trundler) and Arshdeep ( white ball specialist).
Akashdeep doesn't inspire any confidence as well ( based on whatever I have seen of him in IPL).

Need one fast bowler ( or two) to break the door and throw Mukesh out of the system.

Umran - playing Ranji , has pace and maybe will do well

akash deep

saini - has been playing ind a games , has pace and I feel can still be an option

deshpande - he is built like a tank . Feel he is Umesh yadav on steroids . Can be tried

prasiddh - needs to play India a games

some left armer with pace - got many left armers who are tall . One of them should be tried in India a games . Arshdeep is a no no as he is the ultimate midget .

Umran- No, he is radarless with no bowling intelligence. He is nowhere in the scheme of things.
Akashdeep- look like another run of the mill Ranji level bowler to me.
Saini- too old but can be consider as 5th fast bowler based on his experience.
Deshpande- A strict No. He is as average as they come. Aussies love to feast on such kind of bowler.
Prasidh- Blew away his chance in ideal bowling friendly of conditions in South Africa. Will do jack in batting conditions in Aus.

One step at a time. Looking good for home series is a more apt tagline at this point. We finally seem to have found batsmen capable of scoring big and putting scoreboard pressure on the opposition. Decline of our mainstream batsmen had caused poor selections like Axar for batting depth.

I think we should keep expectations low for the Australia tour and treat it as a learning experience.

Disagree here... Indian cricket has lost its prestige to Australia right now.  While zero expectations for T20 WC if we win good.. either way ICC failures are now a norm.

But only way to bring back lost Pride is smashing best team on the Planet on their home turf.

They are not unbeatable as Windies proved and even Poyzz pushed them in 2 Tests & lost due to gifting them the initiative.

They are in rebuilding phase themselves with many guys not in their peak now.

Even Bharat Arun and Shastri planned for Aus series months in advance.  With proper Planning it can be done
