Why blame Agarkar ?

Recommended Posts

I see multiple post where members have written things like does Agarkar have balls to drop Rohit and/or Virat.

Not for a second will I blame Agarkar for the upcoming WC debacle.

Joker- Shah who had no business talking about team selection announced to the world that Rohit will lead t20 team. Not much Ajit could have done after that except stand behind his statement.

Why should they be dropped again??

Rohit is still the captain .If they wanted to to start clean they could have done long before.

Because we want to win? And not want this tournament to be another stat padding fest for the choking seniors?

Indian cricket is overflowing with talent which Agarkar is sidelining on purpose.

That is why all the allrounders and finishers in all IPl teams have been overseas players for last 10 plus years.

DK is one guy who has done well as finisher in IPL but he cannot score a single run under pressure as we saw in MCG again as usual.

Who ever started Impact sub rule has made sure, allrounders don't exist in Indian cricket.

Another way to look at it is that allrounders command higher price at auction and hence incentivising the players to develop more skills.  Will it yield immediate results ? No.. but next 1-2 years we may see some players to emerge

Tbh...the same talent played a key role in beating Australia in Australia during BG Trophy.

Pant, Gill, Siraj, Thakur all played a key role in the victory. Vihari & Ashwin played out of their skin to defend the game.

Don't judge IPL as the parameter, if we go by that then Unadkut, Bhuvi, Mohit, Nalkande are better bowlers then Umran or Tyagi.

Pandya was made the captain after last WC debacle. Now going back to Rohit just before WC.
