Ideally, I wanted Dube at 3, SKY at 4, Pandya (before IPL) at 5, and Rinku in death overs. 

 

So Rinku vs. Dube was never a thing for me. But it looks like they will use Dube for last few overs where their is no evidence he is good.

 

Well, even now, it's not Dube because of whom Rinku is sitting out. Chahal is pointless selection, and Jay Shah decided the captain before the team. Dube shouldn't be scapegoated here.

Samson is good for pattas and bats in top order where there is no opening.

 

Pant is a better keeper, left handed and can adjust to pitches more. Also can bat at 5-6.

 

Samson would ideally have been playing too if seniors weren't there.

Samson doesn’t have half the talent of Pant and that’s enough reason to sit him out.

 

Also Dubey is not getting the number 3 position, he has never batted there in IPL.

Rinku has his limitations too, especially while playing spin.  Also , they don't seem to rate his bowling as much as Dube's
