Is Shivam Dube in the side because Jay Shah is trying to make a brand out of him?

I can't find any other reason apart from this, keeping big players like Jaiswal and Rinku out of the team, maybe Shivam Dube is carrying the personality and the looks that Gujju Shah's Vyapari Brain has figured out a way to mint money. 

 

Recently Gautam Gambhir came out in open and accused that some top officials are supporting players based on the brand value they might bring in the future along with their future revenue prospects.

Rinku is a rare player from the Dalit community, can inspire millions.

And he's pretty mature. His interview after the WC squad was selected and he was ignored was pretty good. Love the guy's attitude towards life

Per few reports Rohit wanted him in WC team, he kind of made his mind in that Ind vs Afg T20 series and then Dube had a good IPL bashing spinners.

 

With lack of hitters in top 3 they needed some1 to hit out spinners in the middle order as Ind batters fails to get going against spin. 

Now that the top order is not able to get going in PP and losing early wkts makes it harder for Dube to play his own game In all the matches he is supposed to accumulate runs and keep holding his wkts.

 

But dropping a finisher like Rinku for Dube is not a right decision, but it all goes down to the reason Ind is not a T20 side. Many are just there to give a sense of balance in the team.

His job in CSK-ipl was to get quick runs and the team was ready to the results where he may get out cheaply and that would be like n-amount of runs with 2 wkts.

 

Is  this Ind team ready to take those kind of risk/chances and him coming at 5 it would be n-amount of runs with3 wkts.

Dube  has a brand worthy face & stature... Already seeing him on a few Ads lol

Many use Singh to hide their caste. I have seen South Indian Singhs, and folks from North East. Even Christians in Bengaluru.

Doesn't matter what caste Rinku belongs to, or his background, the guy's a star who can perform under pressure. He should be the first name on the team sheet, and someone like him not being in the squad is mind boggling, and actually shows why we haven't won anything for over a decade.
