I am glad they are not wasting Mayank on Zimbabwe types. What little we saw about him before the unfortunate injury was special.

 

I really, dearly, assuredly want to see him at Perth vs Australia.

Venky doesn't have a lobby backing him.

I tbh wanted to give an opportunity for Ramandeep as well...seems the perfect player we need for no 6/7 in T20 and can chip in few overs as well like Dube.

Looking at IPLs and how other teams are shaping up, looks like the game is moving towards fully committing towards power hitter or batters who can get 3+ boundaries in an over.

 

In OdIs 300-320 is already just-par/sub-par scores and 200 is also becoming norm in t20s, have Ind selectors looked into this have they been able to resolve the issue??

Big t20 sides are not playing accumulators Steve Smith is out of Aus, Root is out from Eng.

 

Ind still lacks genuine power hitter, having Gill in top 3 does not resolve anything, the reason GT looked ordinary this season is because they lacker power at the top. Saha,Gill, Sai all 3 does not have power game.

Same thing with Ruturaj lacks power game upfront.

 

Though small sample for Gill his 147 SR is all due to 180+ SR against Afgn and NZ teams. 

 

Ind need to look into this else they will become 180-190 side where other big teams will be 210+ sides.

 

Similar to how Pak team is 150-160 side right now and smaller teams have figured it out and they are able to play such a way that they can make a game out of it, just need to keep their wkt at the start so that pak bowling can not get on the top and rest will be okay till last few over when Pak bowling can pull things back.

 

NZ b/c side did it against them Irl seirs looked close.

Need to ask batters to bowl few overs - Jaiswal, Parag, Abhishek have to develop bowling 

Batters should be able to tonk few boundaries do not have be proper batter but should be able to hit few 6/4 in last few overs

And that terrible Rahane lite Ruturaj will always be the pain

And this post should also be used as a example for those "low iq trolls" who talk that we are biased towards "fast bowlers" irrespective of their performances.

 

Tushar is as fast (if not faster) than Harshit..yet no one from the "fast bowling fan club" likes him, coz we know how limited he is in the skillset.

Yup seeing the pattern and hopefully Gambhir as coach will address it. KKR performers such as Harshit, Venky, Varun and Shreyas Iyer have been given a raw deal. At least 2-3 of them should be in the team. No idea why though :dontknow:

 

I'm not from Kolkatta and neither do I back KKR but I can see that the KKR players do seem to get short end of the stick quite often. This is true for SRH players too along with RR as these franchises are not the "premier" IPL franchises like MI, CSK or RCB. Hope Gambhir puts an end to it.
