Forecast yesterday was Rain in the 10-11 hour - 1.1mm and 1 mm from 11-12. It is still the same. Rain till 4 pm

Looks like there will be a match today in cloudy conditions. IMO if we win the toss we should bowl first. There would be help for bowlers as there has been a lot of rain and pitch has been under covers for a long time. There's bound to be moisture and "sweating" which should help pacers.

But in this case the pitch has been under covers for days with moisture and cloudy conditions. It should help pacers a lot. Plus in case of rain and thunderstorms, it's always better to chase as you know what you've to do.

 

Batting first makes sense if it's a dry pitch with no around.  But not in this case where you've no idea when rain can come around and how many overs you're gonna get.

Very difficult situation as it'll increase the length of our tail. In a low scoring match, Jaddu might add a few. But with Siraj and our iffy openers (especially Kohli), and a poor lower order, it's too big a risk.
