Providence, Guyana (Semi Final venue) weather watch

Folks, checking the weather for Providence, Guyana and most likely it'll be a rain affected match. Doesn't look like it'll be a washout as the forecast is mostly of day being cloudy with scattered showers. The weather will likely be clear between 10am and 1pm local time. With the match starting at 10.30am that's enough time for a completed game of 10 overs each. However, as per the last link shared below it should rain most of the day  Here're some hourly weather report links, and am hoping for lots of :rain:

Even if it rains intermittently, the ground will be wet.

And it is showing continuous rain till 4-5. Even if there are breaks in between, the ground will still be wet.

It's 10am-1pm period I'm worried about. If they start off, they can get the game done within 1.5 hrs. The shortened game will not help us or our spinners. Hoping the outfield is too wet for the game to happen

As per the new ICC rule, both sides need to bat min 10 overs to constitute a match.  Is that correct?

Yup, for the semis the min overs which both sides need to bat for is 10 overs. For the earlier games the no. of overs was 5 per side.

ICC makes new random rules everyday

They did before the tourney. Till semi-final teams only had to play 5 overs each for it to constitute a completed match. From semis onwards, the cutoff was 10 overs each. They decided the same time when they planned to have no extra day for the 2nd SF.

Despite rain forecast for today, it did not rain from 8.00 AM to 8.00 PM today. With 30% chance of rain, overnight rain like today is expected. we will most likely have a delayed start but full 20 over game.

Chasing would be the best option in that case.

Chasing will work if the target is around 150. Anything above 165+ is tough to chase with ball slowing down. Historically the day game 1st innings avg is 145

no extra day as it is a day match so hours extended are same.
