Can India produce more forward release pacers like bumrah

Even someone like Naveen is good bowler and can surprise batsmen due to this technique.

In a population of 1.5 billion it would be fairly easy to find someone with similar action. All I am saying is that it should not be the only criteria to start playing someone. Let them develop accuracy and show some smartness which Bumrah had right from his IPL days....

Our population cant produce pacers that easily.

 

 

We have accurate pacers like Bhuvi,Arshdeep,sandeep but they arent like Bumrah . Bumrah has accuracy along with pace and also unique release point .Once he loses  pace he wont be the same,though his unique release point will still aid him compared to other normal pacers.

Thats just luck - bowlers with hyper-extension or some other physical abilities.

 

Only thing as a coach or a system can re-create is to get bowler with traits are -- Tall hight, fast then others, Zippy and able to produce some extra bounce.

Rest is all luck, but Ind should find and promote such bowlers - there are so many state leagues going do not think there are any such bowler. Teams are filled with left arm slow spinners.

 

Finding a good leg-spinner is hard in Ind thats why Chahal keeps making to 15, when TM clearly knows he can not be in 11 in a icc tournament where top teams plays they best 11

not sure there have been many forward release pacers in history. Bumrah might be the first great one.

Agreed we dont need another Bumrah..we need new Ram,Shyam,Suresh :D etc whoever can create their own legacy..doesnt matter if they have Bumrah's action or their own unique one..

All traits are down to luck ,coaches should promote all.

its more important to understand your body and tailor an action suited for your body than copy someone else because it works well for them. 

Are you a big tall guy with a solid build ? Bowl like Donald - keep it technical, front on, high arm release & put your back into it.

Big beanpole guy ? Bowl like Ambrose - high arm windmill action to generate pace. If you put your back into it, your back will die, because you are thin built with a long back. 

Short stocky guy ?  Bowl like Waqar or Malinga ( more extreme Waqar) - roundarm action, use your pecs and hips to generate pace. 

Normal height normal build guy like Kapil or deep chested beefy guy like Kallis ? Side on action. 

 

And if none of them work for you, find one that does.

if I hav eto wish for another Bumrah..This time lets wish for a left armer Bumrah..would be fun to watch :D
