Worst decision ever and cost us the WC. Final should've happened at either Chepauk in Chennai or Eden Gardens at Kolkatta. Even Nagpur would've been a better option than Ahmedabad

Chepauk was the best option with our spinners. Could even have played Ashwin there.

Actually we should've played Ashwin ahead of Siraj in Ahmedabad too... similar to how we played Ashwin against Aussies at Motera in 2011 QF

Pandya's loss complicated the matters. Pandya has played 4 times against AUstrlaia in world cup (T20/ODI). INdia has won all 4 of them.

Still think 2 decisions hampered us as injuries are not in our control...

 

1. Decision to have SKY in ODIs ahead of someone like Rinku who has the track record in List A and has the game to bat in lower order

2. Decision not to play Ashwin ahead of Siraj. Siraj was a wasted spot and Ashwin would've been the perfect bowler to go up against Head while opening the bowling similar to 2011 QF in Motera.

 

Obviously the venue wasn't the best one either as it depended too much on toss. Any other typical Indian venue such as Chennai, Kolkatta, Nagpur, Mohali, Hyderabad etc. would've been perfect for us. The decision to make Ahmedabad the star of the show ahead of the team cost us big time.

Case of politics destroying our chances. The urge to make Namo stadium the centre piece for all important games came back to bite us.

Nahi yaar ODI/T20 is supposed to be D/N... 

Watching T20 cricket during Day Time is not remotely close to a Night T20 game.

Aus/SA are best venues coz Indian LOI games happen at Night even NZ.

 

ECB has to adjust Indian games for Day time as well...which honestly sucks.  Oval is breathtaking ground under lights.

Eden by far... We completely demolished SA in Eden and even Saffers came close to defeating Australia in the semi final there.

Absolute brain dead call to not have a final in Eden.

Fairness is more important imo. Dew is a big factor in India and has to be countered first.
