Better to invest in a totally new center in an unrepresented area / territory. NE comes to mind.

A giant stadium (a multisport one) on hundreds of hectares of land. With one giant stadium (1.5 lac seating capacity) that can host football, hockey matches, a cricket stadium, a couple indoor sport stadia. That would be something we don't have, and something that will add a new dimension to sport culture.

India's population is centered around India's belly (central zone spreading east to west). Which means, geography that will provide the best value, best return on investment will be central UP. That is also an area that currently doesn't have good sports infrastructure.

No point in destroying the environment for such unnecessary things :orderorder:

Cricket’s popularity is supposed to be in a decline globally, which could eventually impact the future of cricket in India too.

If a new stadium is made, it should respect the environment, and ideally the other stadiums should be turned into parks.

Two(DY patil?) of them are private, so yes Mumbai can do with one more!

Brabourne is managed by MCA I think.

Even on DY Patil, IPL games have been played.

It's under CCI, unless they're also part of MCA now? Not sure, but part of the reason they shifted from Brabourne to Wankhede was that it was a private club.

The Ambani wedding really hurts. If they had spent this much money on social programs or helping the needy, tens of thousands of people could've been helped.

Lack of philanthropy amongst Indian business class is a huge concern. We've likes of Adanis and Ambanis who'll rather burn their money than help the needy. Extremely sad. It's just not these two as that's the Indian mentality in general. They would rather hoard their wealth and throw it away than help their contrymen in need though they can easily do so without their lifestyle being impacted.

Kuch hospitals khol do, kuch schools bana do gareebon ke liye, orphanages support kar do for less fortunate ones par nahin. They would rather spend lakhs on gold plated invitation cards, crores on booking planes & palaces for weddings, and pay hundreds of crores for rich & famous to do nautanki at the wedding. One of the reasons India is where it is and lags behind western nations.

Watched this clip on YouTube where one guy was questioning design of even new Indian stadiums. Point he was making, if you are going to build a new stadium from scratch then at least make it look modern. Honestly he wasn't wrong, even the modi stadium on tv looks ordinary.

Weddings if done inside India are actually a huge job creater. It a whole industry which employs lot of local people.

What I hated about the Ambani wedding was him spending 100s of crores on stupid celebrities. He gave away freaking ~100Cr to aandolanjeevi for hire Rihana and idiots online were like look Motabhai made her dance lol.

Stadoums need to accessible and offer comfort to fans. How they look is secondary

Outfield is green! Except under the toblerone, of course

Boundary is what it is at the start of the delivery. Everytime. Does not matter where the toblerone was previous delivery.
