Let's not pretend like Spanish players don't dope. There has been huge allegations against farca midgets and even the tennis players

Check fuentes's records.

Nadal is still my favourite due to work ethic but spanish athletes are pretty sus in general.

You and your doping theories lol.

No doping theory. Legit. Check fuentes records. Google it.

Americans are no saint either. They all dope

But then again spanish seems extreme in tennis and football. Weirdly enough they do well in both. Coincidence. I don't think so.

Alcaraz has a definite chance to hit double digit grand slams before he turns 25.

Only Sinner and Medvedev are as of now in his ballpark.

There are 14-15 slams before he turns 25.  Needs only 6.

Yea it's a joke era.

I feel someone will come in later though. We shall see. Medvedev? No. Not consistent enough.

Has no weaknesses and will only get better and stronger in 2 more years.

Peak Federer had the great serve and forehand but the backhand was weaker, much weaker. Nadal serve and backhand were adequate but that is all.

Djokovic stands on line and keeps the ball deep. Period. That is his game. If you can overcome the deep ball - you can beat Djokovic. Not easy to do but Stan Wawrinka and now Alcaraz have shown it can be done with DTL shots on both wings.

I think that was the issue of Federer and Nadal - they both could not hit the DTL backhand well. Crosscourt yeah but not DTL. Djokovic cleverly exploited that. When in trouble many times he put it on their backhand and covered the crosscourt side.... dare them to hit DTL.  He could not do that with Stan in 4 GS defeats and now with Alcaraz.

Pete Sampras in 1996 was comprehensively beaten by Richard Krajicek 75 76 64 in QF - then Krajicek had injuries. Pete could serve and volley, but with the equipment changing the balls started coming back "faster" and even Roger Federer could not play pure serve and volley at Wimbledon which he did beating Sampras in 2001.

96 was a minor blip in an almost perfect wimbedon record. Krajicek played an amazing match to beat Sampras who had skipped Queen's because of his deep run at the French open. I was talking about the 90s playing conditions when I mentioned Sampras' prime. Ofcourse Federer and Alcaraz would dominate Sampras anyday in today's conditions. Federer's serve and volley skills are exagerrated. He was known as a reluctant serve and volleyer in those days. Federer is more Agassi than he is Sampras.

Djokvoic is like 37. So it's expected now.

Federer also has a losing record to kalfenikov and rafter.

Federer  was almost 38 in 2019 - playing the finals after a touch 4 set win over Nadal..... 3 TBs and Djokovic won. What goes around comes around.

But this was a whipping.

No denying at all. You need luck in tennis to play in the right era. To benefit from it.

Joker definitely benefitted from weak era post 2015 when everyone where Federer was past prime and Nadal was injury ravaged. Rest were just wawrinka and Murray here and there.

federer's backhand was not weaker than Carlos's. His backhand was made to look weak by nadal's great loopy leftie forehand- which is a thing all SHB struggle against, but against djoker and virtually all DHB players, federer's backhand was quite well matched.

WTA is doing fine @maniac

Iga is going to win double digit slams, and become clay GOAT. Sky is the limit for her tbh, since she is just 23. May have a Chris Evert like career, and come close to Graf/Serena's records.

Osaka has 4 grand slams, just some mental issues of late. One the road to recovery. The way she played Iga in RG, gives me hope she can still win 10+ slams.

Gauff, Sabalenka, Rybakina, Krejcikova, Raducanu etc will or have won multiple slams, and a very deep field. Pity Barty retired.

After Big 3 exit, I think WTA tour will have more intrigue than ATP.

Prime for prime all 3 can beat each other in their preferred courts.

Yea recent numbers went up for wta. I don't personally ever watch wta or any women sport in general but good for them.

However men will still overshadow them in the future regardless in tennis unless a crazy good Asian female player wins and has a huge following in their resp3ctive country.

AO : Fed 2007 vs Nadal 2009 vs Djokovic 2016...I honestly don't see Djokovic 2016 as good as he was beating Fed 2007 or Nadal 2009 more often than not.

RG: Fed 2011 vs Nadal 2006 vs Djokovic - choose your year I am going with 2011 - he beats anyone except Fed or Nadal that year and this version would beat all his RG winning versions.

Wimbledon: Fed 2006 vs Nadal 2008 vs Djokovic 2015. Fed takes this with Nadal 08 and Djokovic 15 being a dogfight.

USO: Fed 2006 vs Djokovic 2011 vs Nadal 2013. In a pure 1 vs 1match up I could give this to Nadal. Djokovic 2011 vs MPs down to 30 year old Fed.

Honestly Djokovic has merely outlasted Nadal and Fed and his Wimbledon and RG count in particular are vastly inflated. Murray's hip injury, Federer fading away with knee surgeries and Nadal injuring one part every 2 months did help him. The ones who could threaten him like Stan and Delpo also got injured. Medvedev Zverev and Co. Is the worst generation in eons.

Djokovic will never win a peak for peak argument. What he did and does brilliantly is keeping himself fit and outlasting the others for which he deserves credit. He has won way more than the other 2 by playing "bad tennis" and isn't above gamesmanship to win (fake mtos, strategic grunting, excessive bouncing before big points especially , pointing to the wrong mark in 2013 wawrinka match which would have made Stan serve for the match etc. List is long. He did what he needed to and was able to stay at a solid B+ level for longer than either Nadal or Fed and benefitted more than either (2004-2006 or 2010 field that were criticized were way above any of the joke draws Djokovic had post 2017). Nadal and Federer in particular were just a bit better with their A+ games (absolute peak) on clay and grass/HC respectively; however they could not sustain that enough. Federer 2019 a year older than Novak now beat 5 years younger Nadal in 4 and had MPs vs 6 years Djokovic (and would likely have won if they hadn't changed Wimbledon 5th set rule). Djokovic a year younger than that is getting pounded by a guy who would have finished high school 3 years ago had he taken that up.

Timing matters in sport hey.  Djoker benefitted alot from it given Federer was 5 years older and Nadal was injury ravaged. But hey full credit to him for staying injury free. Gee how flexible is that man. Bounces around like a spring. Can do splits and stuff. Insane.

He is still goat though.
