Exactly, the ball is so dangerous and hig them everywhere, even on their heads. Our cricketers are soft compared to hockey players.

For us Amit Rohidas. Our first runners have historically been adivasis from Odisha, Jharkhand, Chattisgarh, MP. Brave people with high pain threshold.

Right last time 20.9 m was final qualification...12 people threw 20.9 and above.

 

Out of 12 finalists, only 6 crossed 20.9m in finals (and 3 crossed 22m ofcourse)

That was the case since the draw was made. That said, Nikhat herself was a two time world champ - she just was not good enough to progress on her own merit. Can't keep crying about the draw. Her bout was completely one-sided. Nowhere skillwise compared to her Chinese opponent. As an ex-world champ she can't worry about the draw. She should be the one to watch out for her opponents like the Chinese lady was here.

He will be too old in the future. It's now or never. That said he isn't a serious medal chance.

The only person who qualifies for this is that Turkish dude who won silver. He's like Bond, James Bond.

Manu shot brillant to be 3rd in precision round of her 25m pistol event qualifying round.

 

Isha also on 10th and still has a chance to finish in top 8.

 

Rapid round to start in couple of hours.

I think both will. Competition is insane. Only 3 shots the difference between the top and the 12th place right now.

Apart from wrestling, boxing, we are zero in combat sports. 

We don't have propee trainers for judo. It's not popular. Need proper coaching and facilities first then we shall see.

Shooting's pipeline is actually really good since ppl like Abhinav Bindra adn Rathore got involved. That said given Rathore is involved I'm surprised Trap and Skeet shooting has become so blah. Cricket is also excellent atm - especially after IPL. Rest of the sports - not really. I'm guessing sports like Kabaddi in Punjab and Wrestling in Haryana are also awesome.

 

Badminton is slowly getting there. My son (who's not that good) has played in a few tournaments. The grassroots is very healthy for Badminton as well. We actually need more elite level coaching for Badminton. Time to roll out the red carpet for some Chinese, Indonesians etc. to base themselves in Korea and build academies with them.
