Lol at Asian germans in Germany. Racist piece of **** country lmao. Deep inside the probably hate the fact that they need chinks go represent them.

Btw Russia do even worse. Their athletes get tortured.

Some belt treatment is needed. India has a lot of talent but lack of focus and drive especially among athletes: maybe not torture but some harsh training is required. That’s why these Chinese chowmeins are clutch under pressure.

Here is the question though, if the weight limit was 50 kg and she was 50 kg + 100 grm it’s stupid. But if weight limit is 50, tolerance given of 1-2 kgs and she is 2 kgs 100 grm over that’s a different debate altogether. Exactly 100g overweight over the decimal point seems too ridiculous to me and I don’t buy it.

Even if there, tolerance will be in grams, not kilos.

This was 50 kg, next weight category is 53kg. So obviously tolerance can't be high, that will be as good as higher weight category.

Sone rules are cruel. Like false start in sprints, Bolt's career ended with false start DQ.

100 grams

I am not sure of all rules but this the most stupidest rule.

Poor thing she must be famished and ate big dinner.I am so sorry for her, she was so great yesterday. She to me is still the champion.

Media needs to applaud her and talk about this stupid rule. She needs to be consoled not vilified.

how did she gain 2 kg in a day? food?

She was cutting for the weigh in.. So definitely refueled after that and in between matches. Mostly water imo, food must have been regulated

Mostly water. Wrestlers cut off water for many hours before weigh in. Have to make up to fight 3 bouts in a day.

True.

This lady is in the same range as Chanu - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mihaela_Cambei - the Romanian

This Beligian is also a serious medal contender - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nina_Sterckx - from Belgium

Also a bronze contender - Jourdan Delacruz - Wikipedia USA, and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Surodchana_Khambao

Realistically, Mirabai is a bronze contender.

For those that missed this - Mirabai Chanu's chances. @Kron

False start is not cruel, some athletes were taking advantage of it .

She wouldn't have won gold. Was looking good for  bronze though. The US lady who won was too good
