So true, him not scoring 100 in Australia is just an aberration rather than his lack of ability.

He pummels everyone at home apart from Aussies. Scored almost 800 against our ATG attack last time. More than Rohit, KL combined, both who had awesome tours.

He has a good record vs Australia at home as well.He just have to improve his record in Australia.

Thing is Root never plays for milestones, throws away his wicket needlessly for team's cause which harms his average. He even bought into the Bazball methodology when normal Root was enough, cost him a few 100 runs because of Bazball. 

 

Kane mama is the opposite, carefully curated career just for stats, milestones, average.

He has to own them at least once. Last two times Aussies have drawn 2-2 in England, which is a big black mark for Poms.
