The problem was letting the RR get beyond 8. The team simply doesn't have any hitting power and once the RR goes beyond 8, it's game over.

you can't keep hitting for the end only. Needed to keep with SR throughout

My issue is with landhana's approach she isn't power hitter,richa ghosh is too hit and miss and yes harmanpreet did score runs but at what pace need to drop landhana,also deepti has been inconsistent too many accumulators and let's face it landhana isnt cut for t20's,needs to be dropped and plz drop Mazumder as coach useless fellow

Ind has defeated Eng a lot. Series as well as in some tourneys (CWG semi).

 

 

The one match I recall is the WC final where it was in our hands and we still somehow managed to lose it - I think around 2018 or thereabouts. They've yet to recover from that and have no belief they can get past Eng or Aus. Change the players as these ones are scarred and don't think they can do any different. Their ceiling is sneaking into SF, if they get lucky.

Yes.    But if Pak beat NZ by 60+ runs, then Pak will qualify ahead of both NZ and Ind.

Don't disrespect ABD mentioning him with these 2. He was GOAT talent. Babar is choker in his own right and Madhana has had a few good tournaments of her own albeit with a choke.

She is okay for ODI and Test where she can construct innings at her own pace. But on pitches like this you have to make the most of first 6 overs.

Naah others are useless as well. Smriti shouldn't be there in the team due to her slow starts. And Shefali and Jemimah look good only in ads. But this knock from Harmanpreet is still an anchor type stats padding knock which relied on otehrs to do the heavy lifting.

 

The target was 153 and Harmanpreet scored 53 off 47 deliveries at a SR of 112. That means the rest of the team had to score 100 off 73 at a SR of 137! In Women's cricket, and especially against Aus, and given our hitting power that may as well be like asking for the moon, i.e.  not gonna happen.

 

And for the most part Harmanpreet was crawling at below run a ball. It was 2-3 boundaries at the end, when the match was already out of our hands which brought her SR above 100. Her innings was the definition of a stats padding, impactless knock which looks good on paper but in reality never gave her team much of a chance.

Yup, great for those 2 formats but a total misfit for T20s. Even someone who plays 20(15) type of innings will be a huge upgrade over her.

Yup. She was batting at a SR below 100 for most of the innings. When the match was gone, she hit a few meaningless boundaries to make it look good on paper. Those boundaries earlier in the innings would've made a difference. Later on they were just window dressing.

Never saw her hit. Shefali or Jemimah may score quickly occasionally but Smriti has always been like a 12(16) type of player.

It doesn't work that way. Others had to support with shorter but quicker cameos and there were some extras too. 

 

Match wasn't out of the hands when she accelerated. But whenever the strike was rotated the other end was dead. 

 

It was definitely an impactful knock given how close we got from lost position, that too without zero support

I recall during the Asia Cup held couple of months ago, some ICFers were hyping her to the moon.   Labelling her as a very stylish classic female bradman

Ind was better than Eng during 2018-23. In the last 6-7 years Aus only lost to us in major tournaments.

England and Aus are on different levels and not the same.
