Indians just got harassed yesterday, many travelling to India for the second time in few months are stranded not knowing when & if they will go back to their old lives. anyways, it’s not simping for anyone. Just chiding GOP if they thanked trump for handing over 30 yr old stronghold to the dems? I believe the general populace and sentiment on ground has turned against Indian immigrants. This might not decrease or end when Democrats come to power. I would Suggest every one to accept, with both hands, any offer that your company offers to transfer to India. The general populace’s polling data on immigration & skilled immigration has been shared multiple times. So that’s not true. h1b’s & Indian immigrants didn’t suddenly show up in US on Dec 2024. The GOP having won illegal immigration debate made a conscious decision to go after legal immigration, because except for giving tax breaks to billionaires, the modern GOP has 0 policy positions that is popular on its own from health care, to govt reform, to taxation, to trade. Hence it had to find a new villain, new brown skinned other to hate while robber barons loot. They attempted to do the same in his first term but failed because they didn’t have a plan & weren’t even wining the illegal immigration debate back then. Thanks to brain dead Biden’s policy of worsening the problem of illegal immigration during post covid inflation, that problem was solved. mishra 1

It's just that post the arrival of Putin and Modi, the sync between India-Russia has returned, US was somehow managing it with the optics. But with Trump, that optics is shattered to pieces. Everyone knew this day would come around 2035, but Trump brought it a decade early. Geopolitics has changed as well quite fast, Russia emerged strongly post the Ukraine war, while West assumed Russia will succumb to pressure. On top of it India damaged the US assets (allegedly) in Pakistan which US can't talk about in open. Israel is threatening ME, Saudi's are facing challenge from Turkey, Yemen and Iran, China is spreading it's wings in South China sea, Russia is threatening the Arctic circle and India is supplying arms to Indonesia and Philippines. US is facing heat from all corners and it doesn't know where to focus first.

I doubt if any US assets were hit in Pakistan, maybe an F16 in one of the hangars being an exception but still not something that would rile up the US. The most critical asset was the trailer command and control center from Turkey that got blown away. Even more important than the UAV fleet at Sukkur hangar. Edited December 11, 2025 by MechEng

It's not the tarrifs that hurt US - India relations, but the way everything has been playing out. My feeling on where this is going. Trump and Modi will resolve and get past this in next 6 months. Modi has withstood the storm. And has clearly laid out India's position. I see clear focus from US to withdraw from Ukraine and bring Russia out China fold. Once the Ukraine peace deal is done, the realignment will be quick.

Unless we are not, we tend to be lazy and lose the focus. Atleast now, with the pressure from the West, there is special focus on diversification and Indigenousization. It is not about tariffs. He has reset India-Pak relations by 25 years . India had the upper hand and had isolated Pak internationally. They had very few friends. India avoided any third party interference in Pak matters and he has opted to intervene and He has given Pak relevance with providing more F16s and billions in mining and other investments in Baluchistan. He has given Pak some oxygen to breathe. That will hurt India more than tariffs. Idiot of a leader

I doubt Modi directly spoke to Trump. More like his cabinet of ministers spoke with Trump's team. Nothing can be confirmed unless a deal is finalized, until then it's hawaa mein baatein Mind you, Trump has just approved massive fleet of upgraded F16s for Pakistan. When we can keep options open, so can Trump and US. The game cannot be won by persuading US to not entertain Pakistan. It can only be won by hurting Pakistan more each time they get more funding and support. This we can and will do.open up so many fronts that Pakistan state and army can't control or guarantee anything. Go after Munir. That's the head of snake. Trump is only there for 2 years. Still expecting border operation to really hurt Pakistan. Army will do when the time is right.

Idiot of a leader It was always on the cards...the minute India revealed they blasted Pakistans F16 using Russian equipments. Then India defied the tarrifs and kept on purchasing Russian Oil, now deal with Russians on multiple dimensions. Plus we also kinda rejected US jets like F/A 18 hornet for Rafale. US and their egoistic leader cant fathom all these. They still see India as an insect and its rise is a nuisance which they cant tolerate. ravishingravi 1

As of now India-Russia seems to be on a common boat to move forward....China & US are at opposite poles and they can sense the new bloc of India rising with favouritism from Russia. These new F16s..Pakistan will get them. But we too need to speed up our programs...Tejas mk1a needs speed up and atleast 1-2 squadron should be part of Airforce with integrations of BVRs. Our Airforce is suffering the most and its really needs firepower to combat.. Naval wise, we are in good shape except Submarines. But we have ASWs so submarine threat can be negated. Armed division and ballistic/cruise missile tech is also where we have a giant leap which isnt easy for Pak to catchup. But Airforce is where the gap is minimum. We need to maintain Air superiority and thats where Tejas mk1a integration along with new squadrons of Rafale/Su57 with BVR is key. ravishingravi 1
