In this case, it seems a bargaining chip.

Usually Indians dont indulge in politics and doesnt become a vote bank for the govts...Hence they dont care.

 

The minute Indians start to think as a block and start voting accordingly, the politicial parties will see them as their voters and will do everything to woo them.

Indians in the US traditionally vote for Democrats, they are just 1% of the population unlike Latinos who can swing  elections by their numbers or Muslims who can influence Michigan a blue wall state important to Dems & republicans target for switching.

Atleast he has left India out of it... lol Modi wise not to get too involved.

 

Realised that going forward India will be that swing power between the two.

 

There is a lot of noise for tariffing white collar Indian exports to the USA, especially in the Maga base. ... if it happens then India needs a hard pivot in a different orbit. Rubio and Vance trying to avoid it.

If trump wants to stop the war in Ukraine he needs to collapse oil prices to $20 or something. This involves the American oil industry, especially shale taking a huge hit.....

 

Atm he wants Europe to stop buying Russian oil, he has put tariffs on India but does not want to do the hard part himself.

Oil Issue is unrelated to war. Demand for Oil has already stagnated or decreasing in Developed world while increasing in Global South, Specially India. Think about 2030 or 2035 and how many EVs will be there on Road?

 

So oil producers know that there is little time before customer base changes. SO what happens to Oil Giants like Middle East and US when its Russians who are selling Oil to India and Global South via Indian State, manpower and refineries.

 

 

PS: I suspect Saudis and US have done some deal to attempt to deny future market share of Oil to Russians

Is this related to the person that Trump fired a while back stating that the numbers looked bad? If these are the corrected numbers, it must be really bad there. Not sure the current MAGA folks care though.

These economists have been absolute idiots when it comes to predicting these things. Not just these events but even things like long term hpa/ unemployment projections that influence base case pricing in the pricing models. 
 

The corporate earnings look good and inflation (mainly home prices) have been within range. Supply side inflationary pressures are unlikely to cause long term inflation pick up unless the demand also picks up due to some erroneous monetary policy (but that gives time). And the rate cut cycle is going to also support this narrative of growth. The unemployment is ticking a little (probably underestimated as the supply has also gone down something Jerome also alluded). Having said that if the payrolls tomorrow drop a lot more than expectations, then yeah some shorter sell off. 


Anyways this idiot is gonna have another 6-8 months to put up some show with tariffs. Most of the EU / Canada tariff situation is almost sorted (not great). China he has room for more drama and that’s gonna present more entry opportunities. Then midterms and the reality of economic status report is gonna dawn on the idiots somewhat after that.

lol. You are not up to date man. Frisco had posters in telugu to vote for Republican Party.

Muslims mostly form ghettos and are wooed to be vote bank. Now Indians are also forming ghettos. Texas has it now.
