Bumrah, Arshdeep, Varun and Kuldeep are the four best T20 bowlers in India. No doubt about it.
Pandya and Axar are good supporting bowlers too.

India t20 bowling are the best going around yesterday it's just a bad day for our bowlers or gg negative energy effecting them to

India want to play Axar, Pandya and Dube for extended batting strength and six bowling options. Fair eonugh.

But the problem is that out of other remaining 5 batsman, three are either not suitable for T20, or out of form, or not international standard.

Gill - not suitable for T20.
Sky- out of form
Jitesh- not international standard.

Abhi :wp91:

Tilak :wp91:

Pandaya will make it to any t20i side , he is not tim david/miller/ in terms of hitting ability in last over bit he bowls v.decent seam-up hardly any other options.

May been Green,  Stokes.

He is coming too late , have desribed his battting style in some other thread or this thread some other post. his best slot is #5, he takes time picks and chose the bowler he can hit, he can not hit every bowler and every length.

Axar is limited in power game and he can not hit everyother ball , but he is also needed in the side an allrounder who can bat and has played above his abilities.

Do not have any-other LA spin in Ind who could be trusted with ball or bat more than him.

Gill is not suited for t20is posted this even when he made his comback to Ind side after that big IPL season

Jitesh :: see if sanju is not opening , all the Ind wk are same.No one is intnl t20i quality. Most other teams have better 2nd or 3rd wk than what Ind has in current rotation

Jitesh is playing on his ability to play 10 balls and be able to hit one 4 and one 6 and on a good day 1 more boundary. 10 ball 15-16 runs thats what they are sking him by playing him no. 7/8

Just going through T20 world Cup groups,

Group A: India, Pakistan, USA, Netherlands, Namibia

India should progress to super eight easily as our bowling is way too good for all other teams.

Super 8s- (India) (Australia) (West Indies or Bangladesh) (South Africa or Afghansitan)
We should hope that South Africa gets knocked out from their league group ( comprising NZ and AFG) so we avoid meeting them in the super eights and face AFG instead.

Overall, we should reach semifinal at worst.

If Ind and Pak are in same group they make the group that both have chance to go to next round. And  just to show they are not doing it they will add up NZ is their group just to show they have a sena team in the group, both pak and Ind fancy to beat them but Ind has hard time beating them in icc events.

Now after Ind losing in 1st stage of that t20i wc they do not have NZ anymore

Yes, Pandya at 5 and Axar at 7/8 make so much sense. 100% agree.

But, don't agree with your take on Jitesh. Even KL (middle order version) can do that role better than him. And you also get a batter of pedigree coming a 6 or 7.

But this is all hypothetical now. Its either Jitesh or Samson. We have to make peace with it.

KL is better batter than any wk available to Ind, but he has v.bad tendency to freeze at big moments he still has T20i sr of 140, has played better opp. and bowling line-ups and have been playing for sometime so not modern day 140 where every one else is going 160-165 a batter is going 140, but old time (2ys back) 140 where may be 1-2 batter were going 145-150, the issue with him is as tm you are not sure hen will he freeze and freezing even 5 balls will cost a t20i match ,

that is what jitesh is, some1 who would not die wondering. he will throw around his bat not freeze, bowlers may have better of him but he will swing his bat, that the upside they are looking in him, intent to try hit every ball hence playing at no.7/8

Do not think jitesh is intnl quality but the tm looks at him as #6/7/8 who will swing his bat as hard as he can and may be connect 2-3 in last 10 balls giving team 10 ball 18-20

One practical solution to fix the current T20 balance ( and assuming that Gill and Sky are undroppable) is to bring in Samson in place of Jitesh and then rejig the batting order.

Samson

Abhi
Gill

Tilak
Sky

Dube
Pandya
Axar

It is Gud team but with few tweaks it can become unstoppable.

Remove Sky , Gill , Axar , Jitesh & Dubey.

Abhishek

Samsun

Jaiswal

Tilak

Hardik

Rinku

Parag

Kuldeep

Arshdeep

Bumrah

Varun

only issue is 4 pure bowlers..we need one batter..whatever is his limitations..Axar has batting ability..and can be good spinner on Indian tracks..given our side composition.

No change in order wil fix the issue which Ind is having right now , Ind currently have 2 fully out of form batters in the side and one of whom is not even a t20i batter.

Can see what is the plan here to club a slow scoring or out  of form batter with a fast scoring batter, yes looks good but then you are pushing Pandaya #7 where his sr is not that high, and dube and sky one of out of form and other is not so good vs pace, so they can be contained and pressure can be mounted.

With Sanju and Abhi on top you are trying to make sure Gill always have a partner who is capable hitter.

Yeah if Sky and Gill have to be in 11, this is the only way of doing it, shuffle players around them so that they do not have much negative impact of can show good impact in the team.

This is exactly what IPL teams tries to do when they pick ind super star not much suited for t20s, the set-up of other batters is such a way that particular star looks good.

Rahane score tons when he was with rr, gill with gt , rohit with mi (when he is fully out of form), Kl with numerous teams.

You can see the pattern here, but the thing was they were setting up the team for 1 star player , not 2 player who are out of form. And though setting up teams per the star player suited the player and ipl francises (market value and fan engagements etc.) it costs the team.KL and pant(previous season with dc the this season with lsg ) for respective team are example of it

Unless selectors bowl a googly and bring in pant for Jitesh. Pant irrespective of his record in t20 has this intimidating factor. Every opposition would rather see Jitesh than pant.

There is no factor not even in IPLs,Good teams know they can tie him down, it like 80 t20i games which is not a small sample size.

Test sr are diff than t20 sr, teams if they get intimidated then there are other players like Abhishek, Head, Tim david, Brevis these ppl can finish up game if they face 30-40 balls.

If Gill has to open then its okay if Jitesh plays #7/8 which does not matter much at the position as a team you are just hopping some one swings really hard at the ball and connects few. Which he is doing.

Every wc squad has some out of syllabus selection. Let's see if the tradition continues.

The WC Squad did threw up some surprises and in a good way too. No one saw what selectors were cooking.

The squad selected is a very t20 squad. In case we are 25/4 in 6 overs I don't expect this team to make 140 but go for broke and ik pursue of 185 get all out for 90.

I think till the world cup all these guys have to do is fielding practice. I have never seen such a shi*ty fielding unit.  This fielding coach drills have to be transparent. I am not sure what the hell he is doing with these guys. Very unathletic, poor pick up on the run.  Poor catching technique.
