@BacktoCricaddict I wanted to say this for the longest time but you being the articulate person that you are , said it so much better.

I, however, wouldn’t call this role as a NRR specialist. Instead would term it as heartbreak specialist.

Like that person who one falls for, who gives hopes and then the cancelled nuptials. :heartbreak:

Captain  MSD is not very different. Takes CSK breathtakingly close to winning and then fails.

Thala is supreme in NRR chases. His mind works like a supercomputer. He knows exactly how many runs his team needs for NRR at the end of the tournament to enable them to qualify :glasses:

His planning runs deep. Even DeepSeek is learning from Thala.

Thala was even chasing NRR in 2019 WC semis. Sadly nobody told him that it would not matter. Not Thala's fault.

But Thala makes no promises. It's you lot who fall for his aura and "quick hands" and build hope for something more than is possible.

Thala just wants to give you a few laughs and then fade away, making you yearn for him when he isn't there.
