I have noticed this, many times when a big name player is dropped, they bring in a journeyman type player in to show look world will stop if that player is not back. Oldest trick in the book. How the hell do you think Sarfaraz, SKY, Patidar, Paddikal got a shot?

Good pressure match player too.  In the 2015 Ranji Trophy final TN was bowled out for 134. Then Karnataka was tottering at 16/4.   He scored Triple century in that position

KL and Karun replicated this Ranji final against England a year later at Chepauk and hit 700 against that attack as well. Uncanny resemblance

So BCCI is run by uncles for so called big name players. Why would BCCI care if big name players are dropped and replaced by new younger players. All players have to retire someday. 

Unlike fans , selectors cannot pull trigger and kick older players who have been part of the team for a decade that easily. 

Seniors have taken this team to finals of all three majors white ball tournament and came within a bad day of remaining unbeaten in all those tournaments.

Let us see how well the youngsters do in next t20 World Cup. If they do well they will push out non performing superstars.
