Everything is transactional and changes. Russian engines were not good they had problems. Russia was good in the past. They haven’t been great especially for jets. Russia has been tied up in Ukraine we are not going to get engines or jets from them as well. Diversification is always good. India should develop the jets themselves instead of depending on other countries. India had partnership with Egypt for building jets we dropped out during Nehru. The govts after that never took up the program to develop locally at all.

Russian AL-51 is clearly good enough and other option is French M88 engines.

Problem is design changes will push Tejas MK2 to at least 5-6 years delay further... AMCA will get a worse fate.

 

That's why it was foolish and borderline treason to opt for US engines.

ToT was always swaha. The only time we got ToT or close it was from russians when they were close to bankruptcy after USSR fall that's when MKI & brahmos happened. Then once things stabilized, they won't even let Indian scientists & pilots near FGFA  that we were supposedly co developing. 

 

Much is being made out of french & safaran, but what has been the status of ISE on rafale ordered in 2015? no company will sell you their IPs that they put years, & billions of R&D into for a few billions so you can develop a equivalent or better tech, end up no longer being their customer, & to make matters worse end up being their competitor. I am willing to bet if the deal with the french happens, they will uscker you into it caliming ToT which will never happen.

Common Pakistani is irrelevant for the rulers. Whatever Chooran they need to sell they have sold it. But they know kitney paani mein hai.

Pakistan is feeling emboldened due to their new formed alliance with US and Saudi. They think Islamic world will come to their support.

Common Pakistani (Punjabi) is too scared to believe anything else. They will be crushed under the boots by the their GHQ.

That's the "dirty bomb" threat Pak give to the world, they use Military as a shield to convince the world that they're the one who stand b/w the nuclear assets and the terrorists.

If baloch and pathans can do it then so can POJK people...Some sources saying police has surrendered or revolted. Let's see how true that is.

That has 0 impact. Everyone knows Police is just dummies in Pakistan.
Real power is with military, unless you're not lynching the officers in broad daylight, military won't feel the heat.
BLA and TTP are seen as a threat, coz they constantly target and kill the military officers, despite having substandard weaponry. POJK folks are yet to achieve any such success.

Pok is a small area plus the pak military has complete control over it unlike Balochistan and KP.

 

They have both military and mujahideen assets in pojk to crush dissent

I am saying armed insurgency loading after a dozen plus protestor deaths.

Another front after Balochistan n kpk will be difficult to handle bandwidth wise...

 

btw the pojk protestors are similar to Jammu muslims culturally, linguistically(even to Jammu Hindus linguistically), have relatives in india etc. ... Indian agencies could play games also.
