only 33, everybody is going after money

Situation is pretty dire in South Africa especially with inflation and unemployment at unprecedented levels.

For White South Africans motivation is at all time low to represent SA.

Take the money and leave out of this sh*thole seems to be the motto.

SA contracts pay peanuts compared to what he will be getting from league cricket.

Most importantly he has lost motivation to play for SA like Qdk.

If he was young he would have moved to NZ.. where White saffers seem to be going these days.

Phillips Conway did that when they were young.

Lets face it white SA players esp batters will always be bettet than black batsmen.. so they will always have the ability to move to NZ or England.. SA themselves overlooked Klassen for central contract so why should he have any loyalty to a quota mindset racist board who would rather give the contract to a undeserving black player- i support his decision.

White players are losing motivation to play for RSA, unfortunate reality. Quota politics also ruined Zim cricket. Blacks there have every reason to be peeved, historical injustice is real, but IMO empowerment should be a bottom-up approach.

Always? No.   Cricket is a very expensive sport and that's why you see that even high quality English batters come from private schools which have great resources and coaching.

It's similar in SA with the added caveat that private schools were , historically,  white and even now are dominated by rich white Afrikaaner/English speaking kids

Most black kids don't have access to such sports education

Rabada is a rare black athlete in South Africa who attended St. Stithians.

Grant Elliott, Michael Lumb , Wiaan Mulder, Ryan Rickleton are all alumni of that school.

Kwena Maphaka as well now.

And these are the 3 most gifted black fast bowlers we have ever seen from RSA

Even Siya Kolisi of the rugby team was a product of Grey's High school where Graeme Polock studied.

If these schools were to sponsor poor black kids , you would see many more high quality black cricketers than we are seeing now.

Common Indians probably have no idea what is current demography and dynamics on play there.

Come 2040-2050 GC Hindus will in the same boat as White Saffers.

Their extremely low TFR and anti GC policies will propel them to seek alternatives.

Harsh reality imo

Already GCs (esp. Tambrahms) have fled TN en masse. Same fate awaits ROI.

Fully expect BJP to accelerate the process, even Congress didn't reduce GC seats when they (Arjun Singh) came up with OBC 27% in UPA-I.

ok and who would give the schools money for them to sponsor poor black kids? Other students pay fees and the facilities allow them to empower players to become good. Its just a fact that they are majority white.. you cant risk the sporting success of your country in a sport to change things which will take decades to change- SA is a third world country and not a developed white nation that positive discrimination/quotas will do anything. As Gollum said look at Zimbabwe, till they had majority white players they were competitive in world cricket and since blacks took over, we all know where they gone.

SA Rugby is mixed and one of the best in the world.

SA football is dominated by blacks but no one says we need more white players in national team so why sacrifice cricket? And then they complain white cricketers are retiring early

Never seen any White batsman play spin so well. Michael Clarke was a master in playing spin but it was in test cricket. The way Klassen thrashed indian spinners starting from 2018 ( in one match he actually smacked Chahal who with Kuldeep was in their kulcha honeymoon) and continued till the t20 wc final for 26 balls.. every of those 26 balls he played was like a dagger in our indian hearts or electricity pole on our backs. Till Pant feigned injury and Hardik bowled that 27th ball and rest is history..

SA has grown so slow we will prolly overtake them in gdp pci and hdi etc in next 20-30 years. Them and the northern Arab countries.

GDP pci ppp in next 5-6 years.
