Can an American run a newspaper in India ?

I am curious if a non citizen can run a newspaper in India.

Dunno about newspaper but 'The Wire' is run by Sidharth Vardarajan, a US citizen. Most treasonous news outlet in this country, still it remains unbanned, he carries OCI card, his wife is an urban Naxal who even coerced an innocent tribal man from Sukma to take his life.

LMAO even WaPo and NYT seemed more balanced in their reporting of this conflict, that itself says a lot about "democracy" in India.

Exactly how does India even allow someone like vardarajan to run wire ?
