But the world is much bigger than companies. Courts,NGOs, elected representatives, media, independent experts all are there to uncover the truth. And why a blame towards pilot had to be suspect? Are they some knights in shining armour and commit zero mistakes? They are like us. Prone to emotions like rest of us. Remember 9/11 was caused by pilots. God forbid evidence was there. Boeing is a premier engineering company and its 787 alone conducts millions of flying hours per year. I am not even counting 737 and others. If Boeing is so bad as some ICFers blame, why are other planes not just dropping off the sky? I really salute the engineer's for creating such resilient and robust systems. And they are driving the growth of our civilization. There are 1200 of 787s and many in back order, Boeing has everything to lose if it turns out to be a malfunction. It is very convenient for them to blame the pilot for any errors. They have the media PR machinery working for them. Had this happened in a western airline. USG and media would be all over them. BP is still fighting lawsuits for their refinery accident that happened in 2005. And here the preliminary report from AIIB is giving clean-chits to Boeing and GE P.S: I work in Boeing , not in the aviation dept . What do you mean by 9/11 was caused by pilots? Not Islamic terrorists? Edited July 13, 2025 by coffee_rules Lord 1

People with low opinion about India generally. The investigation is not yet complete, and we have the whole global media including some self-hating Indian media and ICFers talking about mental health of pilots!! Bhai Wah!!

I could have put it better Will never compare the pilots to izlamic terrorists.

If this was a design flaw - I.e., the switches could be easily flipped from ON to OFF, there is a problem with pretty much every commercial plane flying in the world right now. I don't want to believe it but I'm leaning towards the sabotage angle. Without fuel to the engine, how was the plane able to move in the first place? We are not even talking about flying at this point, just moving on the ground. Once the plane was flying - i.e., wheels lifted off - what caused the fuel to suddenly cut off to both engines? The plane can safely climb, fly and land with one functioning engine. Fuel cut off to both engines? That's very difficult to explain. Plane can't fly with fuel switches in turn off mode. They were turned off once the plane was airborne. Edited July 13, 2025 by rkt.india

The mental health of any pilot behind ANY aircraft is a risk factor - Doesn't matter if they are flying gliders, paragliders, parachutes, light aircraft, general aviation aircraft, commercial aircraft etc This isn't about targeting India and/or projecting previously held biases against Indians. The preliminary investigation told us the 'WHAT'. Hoping the detailed investigation gives us the 'HOW' and the 'WHY'. Even if we never found out the 'WHY', the 'HOW' will go a long way against safe-guarding future accidents. Edited July 13, 2025 by EnterTheVoid

Exactly, none of the so called “gora” analysts blamed India, they didn’t even say that training in India is insufficient. Not sure where this whole conspiracy angle is coming here.

IndianRenegade Posted July 14, 2025 Posted July 14, 2025 Honestly at this point planes should have a camera in the cockpit, if privacy & too much airline scrutiny is the concern then the video blackbox should be encrypted & sould only be accesible in order to investigate accidents causing injury or deaths. It was already proposed and the pilot unions were against it citing privacy concerns and possible use in disciplinary actions.
