The team management will not take risk and will play Gill,Rahul in middle order. Eashwaran has a 90 in his last inning and has played 2 matches against England Lions. Nair will play in the middle order and Pant,Jadeja ,Reddy will be the late middle order. Bumrah ,Siraj,Prasidh will be the pace bowlers.

Jadeja sucked as a bowler in English conditions. Replace Reddy with another proper seamer and we can at least look competitive

Also ground is smaller compared to other uk grounds, lot of boundaries. Like Rahul he should have come ahead and played the 2nd test against Lions. Eashwaran has a 90,Sarfaraz though not in the squad has 90 and 100,Jurel has also good scores. iluv80085 1

Rahul useless outside top 2 gill can't bat at 3 gill should bat at 4 or 5 needs to bring Sai to the 11

Sai can bat at 3, or even open , Sarfaraz is a 4 or 5. Really it was between Sarfaraz and Nair. Kinda Agree that Easwaran at least has some runs in these conditions, albeit against a nothing attack on a patta, so should be in at 3 instead of Sai

Agreed that Jadeja is ineffective in English conditions and is never going to be a primary wicket taking option even if the wicket turns a bit like Lord's was yesterday. Despite a bit of rain last week, it has been a dry spring and summer here this year and India should definitely aim to take advantage. Edited June 15, 2025 by lemsip
