Tillu Posted July 5, 2025 Posted July 5, 2025 80% of what we consider taste is actually smell. You have only five taste receptors which perceive the taste of sweet, sour, bitter, salty and umami flavours. On the other hand your smell receptors perceive thousands of flavours which primarily gives the food it's taste. That's whenever you get fever and you lose your sense of smell your food tastes dull. Tillu Posted July 11, 2025 Posted July 11, 2025 Humans are the best endurance runners in the animal kingdom. We've evolved that way to hunt down prey. Plenty of animals can run much faster in short bursts but can't run longer like humans. In one such instance of an endurance race between humans and horses the event organisers had to shorten the distance because a number of horses were dying. coffee_rules and BacktoCricaddict 2
