Great players play poor shots too, especially in this era. People need to be patient with our batsmen, unless Jaiswal does a kohli and gets out in the same manner 8 times in a row, there is no need pile on him after every single failure Root started during Bazball which started in 2022 when he already had 10000+ runs to his name.

My advisor in grad school insisted that I wear a suit and tie for my first-ever conference presentation. At the same conference, another presenter was in jeans and a metal-studded black leather jacket. When I questioned my advisor, he said "Dr. MP has 100+ publications, he can do whatever he pleases." BacktoCricaddict Posted July 14, 2025 Posted July 14, 2025 ^^ When you are an established star, you can do whatever you want (like Root playing whatever strokes after 10,000 runs). But when your career is just taking off, be a bit more selective in how you do things. Cloud9, cricspirit and Frustrated 3
RAZPOR Posted July 14, 2025 Posted July 14, 2025 (edited) too early to tell, but he hasn't handled pressure very well till now Edited July 14, 2025 by RAZPOR Frustrated 1
Bigg Brother Posted July 14, 2025 Posted July 14, 2025 He is on his way to become 2nd Kohli. Unnecessary arrogance. Scores soft runs and throwing his wicket away at crunch time and then goes missing. 1st and 3rd test, both tests loss is on Jaiswal. And yeah this isn't reactionary. Frustrated 1
Trichromatic Posted July 14, 2025 Posted July 14, 2025 Most of the ATG cricketers have been arrogant and egoist. Nothing new.
Vancouver Posted July 14, 2025 Posted July 14, 2025 Drops catches, throws away his wicket, has no desire to be a leader, can't bowl. Frustrated 1
Frustrated Posted July 14, 2025 Posted July 14, 2025 Posts such as "he is young and there is lot of time etc" may sound music to the ears. But the fact is this is the 3rd consecutive test series loss for Team Ind. (We hv handed over our ass to all SENA teams incl NZ, Aus & Eng in a span of barely 6 months). Even if he achieves something big at a later stage, our ranking would be at par with minnows like BD SL Pak etc by then. I am not saying Jaiswal alone is responsible for these losses. But his failure is one of the major reasons behind our debacles. (Since he is the opener. Opening slot is the most important in tests). I fear his decline started the day on which he sledged Starc saying useless stuff like "You are too slow" only to be owned by Aus & Eng since then.
vvvslaxman Posted July 14, 2025 Posted July 14, 2025 He has become a match loser in different ways lol Poor guy has to start taking more responsibility.
KV244 Posted July 14, 2025 Posted July 14, 2025 Jaiswal is like Sehwag don't expect him to become like Sachin.

saransh Posted July 14, 2025 Posted July 14, 2025 This guy needs to get his head out of his rear, another match losing performance after Mcg last year. He has contributed massively to 2 overseas losses while contributing massively to 1 win (Perth Test). Needs to have much better game awareness than he currently has, that slog of Archer was disgusting! Frustrated 1
