The former players can go to hell for making such asinine comments which even a layman can point out the fallacy 

 

Gavaskar is a batsman...much different from fast bowlers who do the hardest job physically in cricket 

 

Non stop cricket these days and no he doesn't need to choose ipl over test cricket. The demands are much different there. 

 

He is coming of a major surgery. Do you go from 0 to 100 percent immediately or slowly ramp up your recovery and workload

 

This was done in consultation with bcci medical board.

 

If you don't like it..don't pick him in your squad. Do you have guts to do that? Go for it. 

 

He gave up test captaincy for this.

Dnt think Ipl is the issue...the issue is over bowling in a five test match or three test match series...because of stupid defensive selections and the support fast bowlers being useless in Australia 

 

What India needs is careful workload management..

 

Dnt play him in home tests and useless tournaments unless match fitness and practice is required.

 

Save him for SENA test matches and marquee tournaments.

 

No one is going to give up iplspecially the price he commands..there are tons of six hitters in ipl

.but very few with his skill set and numbers.

 

And keep track of number of overs bowled in a test and in series

Yea I am just telling tests not even series. Between 1991 to 2002 we didn't win a single test outside subcontinent except one in Zimbabwe.

Ask sandeep patil if he ever won a game for INDIA. Even in the EA cricket game back in the day. :whack3:

He did give his all in games he played. Numbers back that up. Good average despite flat wickets. Was our best bowler in Headingly and Lords and did okay comparatively in Manchester. We lost Lords rdue to batsmen not chasing 190 and even Headingly due to drop catches. No bowler can do much if you keep dropping catches. Oin firnly 2nd innings there was bad on ultra flat pitch where other bowlers couldnt even contain

 

Fast bowler especially with unorthodox action have to be managed. There is no crime here.

Who are you to define ,what is right or wrong for someone else.

 

Kohli gave his all in every match it did not matter what match it was t20 or test for 10 years straight.If he was passive like Bumrah he would be still playing instead of getting burned out.

 

Bumrah on other hand is picking and choosing the games.

I understand that but Bumrah was so passive in the tests he played , that is the whole problem.

In this series he was our best bowler in  2 out of 3 games he played. That is good enough
