randomGuy Posted August 11, 2025 Posted August 11, 2025 He basically threatened india with nukes from US soil, can't happen without direction from USA. So, how do you feel? Keeping your investments in USD as a betrayal to your motherland India, perhaps? New guy, Nagz and Chaos 1 2
rkt.india Posted August 11, 2025 Posted August 11, 2025 US govt is the biggest hypocrite. They are against India doing business with Russia but themselves continue to propagate Pakistan. Continue to give them bailouts through WB and IMF. randomGuy 1
pkmmamks Posted August 11, 2025 Posted August 11, 2025 makes sense to keep all investments in US vs India. India will be thrown into war at the will of US masters. plus tarrifs plus sanctions. Modi Trump friendship may take USD INR past 100
New guy Posted August 11, 2025 Posted August 11, 2025 If they had capability of self reflection, intelligence or shame, they wouldn't have fallen for a hateful, bigoted, liar like Trump in the first place. Nagz and Stan AF 1 1

I remember almost a 100% of Indians supported trump vs biden in a random street interview in india, it should be on YouTube. Indians in india preferred trump a lot more than US Indians compared to biden. Among other factors, It was mainly because of atrocities on BD Hindus during puppet Yunus's installation. Now pls bugger off from this thread. I am interested in views of US Indians and in views of other sensible posters and don't appreciate you derailing the thread. Thxbye. coffee_rules and New guy 1 1

Anyone who fell for Trump, in the entire world, is a despicable human being. No amount of excuses or reasoning will change that and history won't remember them kindly. Godwin's Law (also known as Godwin's Rule of Nazi Analogies)[1] is a saying made by Mike Godwin in 1990.[2] The law states: "As a discussion on the Internet grows longer, the likelihood of a person/s being compared to Hitler or another Nazi, increases."[3][2] That means that as more people talk on the Internet for a longer time, it becomes more and more likely that someone will talk about Hitler or the Nazis.

Still trust in checks and balances over here to stop Trump/USA to get into a nuculur kinetic action. But, my hatred towards all things Pakistan is an all -time high. I don't want to follow their kirkut, our kirkut with them. If they supoort a suvvar like Asif Munir, let them go to hell. Keeping investments in USD , I don't understand that part? Never met anybody favoring tariffs from Dems or Republican voters among friends/colleagues. As usual MAGA and such media is hailing as a game changer for US economy . But across all media left and center think it will cause more rising prices and inflation. Trade deals and tariffs will address deficits in the short term, but dollar loses value and long term US is looking to lose its power. Very few republican politicians are opposing it (like Nikki Haley), but growing influence of China because of tariffs will move across the aisle. It will all be pro -Trump until they lose senate and congress next year in 2026 Lord 1

US media is US centeric, India doesn't feature a lot actually. except for Forigen Policy shows & print media you won't find much coverage on India. you will find lot of coverage on Canada issue because its their neighbor & China is covered lot more than India as it their peer power, impacts their supply chains a lot more. Coverage in traditional, popular media like NYT, WP, CNN isn't very good for the admin. Views on china have improved a bit in recent times. https://www.pewresearch.org/global/2025/04/17/negative-views-of-china-have-softened-slightly-among-americans/ Edited August 11, 2025 by IndianRenegade Lord 1

No I meant about Trump's approach to all countries with tarrifs and wars. Whats the general sentiment there? If there is discontent he can lose midterm

Numbers seems to suggest economy is held up by investments in AI. Rs agre moving to gerrymander to ensure this doesn't matter, Ds might make a similar move to counter it. So democracy may not matter much in the oldest democracy much longer if both parties go this way. Lord 1
