Yea.. But  She is comfortably the best batter against this Australia. Nobody form any country has better performance.  She averages 62 against Australia in the last 2 years. SHe has 3 centuries against AUstralia in the last 2 years. Everyone else in the world has just 1 century.

Let's see what she does in the knockout. Have seen this movie endless times of scoring runs in bilaterals and group stage, and when the big game rolls around they go missing. I would rather take average performances in group stages or going missing in bilaterals but showing up in big games like Gambhir or Raina.

Ruled out of the WC. Big setback, our opening duo was doing so well.

In the end we lost a player for an abandoned match. Commies were talking about  feet getting stuck after rain. Wish they had done better ground inspection. This is why you host matches on marquee venues. They basically covered just the pitch. Outfield had large puddles and was extremely slippery.  They should have never taken the field given the unsafe nature of ground

I hope we win the toss and chase. We are not defending anything with our bowling. Harman,Shefali,Jemima,Mandana all have to contribute and Richa will have to finish it. We are the only team to have scored 300 against them and we have done it twice. 360 while chasing and 330 batting first. We can win but a lot of things have to go our way. Toss,Fielding,Catching and hope they choke.

Healy is also a doubtful starter for the SF.

 

She usually becomes unstoppable in KOs. She killed us in the T20 WC final in MCG. Last ODI WC, she scored 129(107) in SF and 170(138) in the final. Beast.

They are a much much better team.

If Healy doesn't play, I am a slightly optimistic about our chances. Even in the group game, she was the one who killed us.

I think batting first is the way to go. I don't think we can chase under pressure. We crumble at a hint of pressure and Aussies would make it even harder. Best bet is to score a biggish total and hope bowlers don't crack and Aussies come under pressure.

Like her husband did in the wc 2023 final by getting 3 wickets and in wc 2015 semi final by taking 2 wickets.. not to forget the recent test series.. pink ball test..
