Is Kohli the greatest ever clutch player amongst greats ?

Yuvraj actually hasn't done much against pakistan. failed in 2007 final, 2007 firs tround, 2011 world cup first ball duck i think.  But bowling was good though.

Kohli has been very clutch in chases in big T20I matches and not at all so in Test match chases.

2003 against Pak in WC was an awesome knock. 
 

His 2011 quarter final knock against Aus - was the clincher for us. Any team that beats Aus in knock out matches goes on to win the WC and that’s what we did in 2011. 
 

There was a phase when Yuvi and Dhoni won many tight games chasing Witt very high RRR- something that was unthinkable in the 90s era.

close to Kohli. Insane number of games he has finished chasing under pressure.

Yes he has this risk free game that was suitable for all formats. Dhawan, Rohit, Kohli all had a bit of clutch about them Kela was an exception. Same with Yuvraj who seamlessly changed gears. Raina as a finisher  also complemented these guys.

In T20Is, yes he is (or was). And not just from India. In fact I consider him the GOAT of the format irrespective of what stats or IPL records say, huge gap between Kohli and the next best. 

 

Not the most clutch in ODIs and tests. Excellent in tests with a crazy peak. Probably the GOAT in ODIs but missed out in too many marquee KO games.

Even when it comes to clutchness, it is format dependent. G Smith was't clutch in white ball, but in tests he was a different beast, check out his 4th innings knocks. Same with Amla, AB. Many Saffers have been unbelievably clutch in tests and chokers in white ball. 

 

Even this RSA team outclutched Aus in the WTC final after being down and out more than once during the course of the test. And our maharathis fumbled a chase of 190 in Lord's against a far lesser bowling unit.

Axar in general is a clutch player. Never seen him getting fazed by the match situation - he is able to execute boundaries when needed and can hold one end up. 

 

Both Axar and Jaddu are extraordinary all-rounders.

Big fan of Shreyas, Hardik, Axar, Dube in the MO. All super clutch.

Though he didn't get MOTS, for me Axar was our MVP in 23 BGT. Didn't bowl well but scored some 270 runs, all of them when India needed him the most. About time people show respect to him.

Tbh Pakistan is not really a good team but Indians hype performances against them for obvious reasons.

 

Yuvi was great in the entire 2011 WC - QF with bat, SF with ball, F also had supporting role

 

Great in 07 T20 WC semi vs Aus too.

 

Has good performances vs Aus - a much much better team than Pak.

Hope that Axar gets a good 4-5 year run after Jadeja hangs his boots. Would love for him to have a few centuries and get to 200 wickets.

Gambhir was the rel Mr. Clutch and Raina was another one with a stellar record. Kohli was good in T20Is but in ODIs he has been a disappointment - showing up in bilaterals and going missing in ICC knockouts. Pandya is another one who's extremely clutch.

Kohli to me will always remain a player who lost to Pakistan in CT.
