Aus and India played an epic series in 2017 BGT, then had to wait for 6 years for them to visit us again. 

 

Entertaining series against RSA in 2019, 3-0 but we were at our absolute peak that time, another 6 years wait.

it is what it it is,we cant prepare Dust bowls especially with SA figuring  out how to win on them in Pakistan,our best bet is to weather the early Swing on hazy Winter sun and out bat them.

Why shouldn't he after scoring 87 and 39 in his last test. Batted well. He isn't as weird as it looks on TV. Watched him bat at Kotla vs WI. His head does fall over a bit exposing him to sharply incoming deliveries but that can be sorted out. Many of our young batters have had this issue and sorted it through slight tweaks.

 

Didn't do well vs SA A, but it's okay. He's being backed and should be assessed only after this series (we don't play a test till July next year).

Unless they decide to drop Sai, play Jurel at 3 and pick Akashdeep as 3rd pacer at Eden. Looks unlikely though

I think you are right,this pitch won't turn right away and once again Kuldeep will be dropped because they want a long batting lineup.

Always keep an X-factor like KD in the XI. When the tide is against us, he is one guy who can bowl a game changing spell, dismiss well set batters and run through new batsmen. 

 

Now that Jaddu has become more of a batsmen, we need genuine wicket takers in our XI.

Axar is yet to play a test match under Gambhir. Unlikely he will get picked at Eden out of the blue.

 

His test bowling suffered as he improved as a super valuable LOI all rounder. Going by he performed in home tests vs Aus and Eng, he is now a batsman who can also bowl

No. Kuldeep is the strike bowler.

 

Axar comes in once Jadeja retires.

Kuldeep and Bumrah are the strike bowlers with the others as support.

 

Axar can’t play because now Ashwin is retired.

 

He will replace Jaddu in a few years.

Gambhir will be stubborn and will not correct his strategies.
