If saf win the toss and choose to bowl 1st in Guwahati ,they might well get India AO cheaply by using the early morning conditions to their full use. But I believe saf are all set to get a sound beating from this strong Indian Side ! Hope we prepare some turners ,I believe absence of Roko has made this team much stronger from the batting prospective ,we have good batting depth and this side can play on turners We pick wrong grounds adi B 1
Gollum Posted November 10, 2025 Posted November 10, 2025 I don't understand the scheduling. Aus and India played an epic series in 2017 BGT, then had to wait for 6 years for them to visit us again. Entertaining series against RSA in 2019, 3-0 but we were at our absolute peak that time, another 6 years wait.
Teengunalagaan Posted November 11, 2025 Posted November 11, 2025 Only two tests is disappointing. express bowling, Gollum, tapandrun and 1 other 4
crictime Posted November 11, 2025 Posted November 11, 2025 Face off with the World Test Champions. Should be very interesting series. express bowling 1
vvvslaxman Posted November 11, 2025 Posted November 11, 2025 As per Ashwin both grounds will suit SA more than India.
ShoonyaSifar Posted November 12, 2025 Posted November 12, 2025 NKR released from the first test squad, will join India A for the one day series. As confirmed by RTD, Jurel will play at 6 as specialist batter.

Why shouldn't he after scoring 87 and 39 in his last test. Batted well. He isn't as weird as it looks on TV. Watched him bat at Kotla vs WI. His head does fall over a bit exposing him to sharply incoming deliveries but that can be sorted out. Many of our young batters have had this issue and sorted it through slight tweaks. Didn't do well vs SA A, but it's okay. He's being backed and should be assessed only after this series (we don't play a test till July next year).
tweaker Posted November 13, 2025 Author Posted November 13, 2025 Axar would be preferred over Kuldeep for his batting. Jadeja, Sundar, Axar would be spin trio

Yashasvi, Rahul, Sai, Gill, Pant, Jadeja Jurel at 7 Washi 8 Kuldeep 9 Bumrah at 10 Siraj 11 Unless they decide to drop Sai, play Jurel at 3 and pick Akashdeep as 3rd pacer at Eden. Looks unlikely though

When the tide is against us, he is one guy who can bowl a game changing spell, dismiss well set batters and run through new batsmen. Now that Jaddu has become more of a batsmen, we need genuine wicket takers in our XI.
ShoonyaSifar Posted November 13, 2025 Posted November 13, 2025 Axar is yet to play a test match under Gambhir. Unlikely he will get picked at Eden out of the blue. His test bowling suffered as he improved as a super valuable LOI all rounder. Going by he performed in home tests vs Aus and Eng, he is now a batsman who can also bowl

tweaker Posted November 13, 2025 Author Posted November 13, 2025 What is the use two same type of bowlers ie SLA bowling allrounder in the playing 11. Kuldeep should play instead of Axar
deathmonger Posted November 13, 2025 Posted November 13, 2025 Kuldeep and Bumrah are the strike bowlers with the others as support. Axar can’t play because now Ashwin is retired. He will replace Jaddu in a few years.

South Africa are well prepared after playing test series in Pakistan and have won the 2nd test. Gambhir will be stubborn and will not correct his strategies. We may loose this test series 2-0
