We can't chase 170 even on the flattest pitch on the planet. Other teams chase such scores on the worst minefields. Our 4th innings woes are purely psychological at this stage, no team can be that bad !!!!!

 

Wtf were we doing in Lord's? 190 chase, top/middle order collapse and then Jaddu was trying to score last 60 runs at 1 rpo. Embarassing, loserish chase, and to think our fans were praising ICT for fight in that game.

Cowardice never helps you in 4th innings chases. Even on this pitch, Poms have been positive and going at 6 rpo....Head, Weather guy and Labu did it even better in T1. 

 

Only India believes in blockathons and chasing 130 in 90 overs in this day and age. No wonder we keep blowing so many easy wins. 

 

Only time we looked like winning in 4th innings recently was in Mumbai against NZ when Pant scored 70 in 60 balls. He fell to a controversial bat-pad and we lost. In Kolkata against RSA, Jurel and Washi added 30 runs in 20 overs when ball was new and best time for scoring on that lighning fast outfield.

I don't think McCullum was getting sacked even if England had been whitewashed, but at least this victory will ensure that the coach & captain don't change their style of play.

In India you don't get such pitches.. our Pitches are either turner or flat pancakes up to day 2/3.
